The Joes Special is KING. Add ketchup and tabasco and you'll be in HEAVEN

Marin Joe's just feels good. The staff is very professional, the patrons are all in a good mood, and the food generally over-delivers. I often wish I'd just gone to Marin Joe's after trying a new over-thought, over-wrought, under-delivered, and over-priced new restaurant somewhere else in the Bay.

There's only one Marin Joe's!

If you are craving prime rib, this is your place! I happened to be on crutches and when we arrived I was treated like royalty! The valet parked our car right in front of the restaurant. We were quickly seated in a corner booth where I was able to elevate my leg. They were so wonderful I felt like I was coming home to family! Super fun atmosphere with great energy! I wish we lived closer and could visit more often but for sure I will be back. The prime rib was so delicious! I could give 10 stars I would!

The Donner Party is only 1 now, I'd like to make another reservation, but only because I learned to sing, finally. Please call me. Elizabeth Le Roy.

You cannot get the dining experience you get at Marin Joe's anywhere in San Francisco or the Bay area.
It's pure old school class.. all the waiters. the valet guy .the owner greet you ..and are friendly.. the food is top notch.
The waiters remember you..
The atmosphere is amazing..
There's no place like it.
It's a wonderful dining experience.
That doesn't exist anymore.
This place has history and a well-oiled machine and backbone that a lot of restaurants don't have.

Older vibe. The food was delicious. I had a steak special. everything was on point and the meat was cooked perfectly. The cocktails were good as well.

(Be aware—Closed Mon and Tues) After 7pm on a Friday night—Arrived with no reservation and was able to sit at the counter straightaway. Place was hopping busy. Super friendly diners to my left and right. Easy to strike up conversations. Great experience. HUGE plate of pasta—great to have leftovers for tomorrow’s dinner. I had not been there in many years and was a little leery cuz new owners, however apparently the same cooks etc continue to work there and keep same standards as the past.

Vegetarian options: There are a few and I liked my mixed veg side and my veg pasta. Funny but I sat right in front of the grill. And it didn’t gross me out (nor did it appeal).

I used to frequent the San Raphael and Corte Madera Joe's and my mouth literally waters when I think of their gnocchi they'd make with spinach. Evertyime I come back to Marin, Joe's is my first stop. Timeless atmosphere and the best staff you'd want serving and cooking for you. I miss

The best thing about this restaurant is the man who’s parking your car. The 70 something man and 60 something woman at the reception know nothing about customer service. No greeting no smile and of course no thank you. They probably own the place so they can’t be fired. The food is incredibly mediocre. One of my companions said it was the worst steak she’s ever eaten. The red sauce on the pasta has no onion and no garlic that we could taste. We don’t think it had enough salt either. I had the cheese ravioli with the pesto sauce, which was tasty, but I was starving to death so anything would’ve tasted OK. Amys frozen tortellini with pesto is much better which you can buy at the grocery store for about six dollars. The bread on the table had been sitting there a while, and there was no knife to cut it. My sister really wanted to visit this restaurant and now we have and we will never return.

Parking: If you decide to eat at this restaurant, please use the valet and tip him. He’s amazing.
