Sweet lord.... the baristas are so busy talking they can't get an iced drink made in ... apparently less than 20 minutes. As a former barista, this is frustrating. As a paying and 25% tipper, this is a reason not to return. There's a way to chat and have fun with your coworkers a day still get your job done. Glad I didn't have anywhere to be... Really disappointing

"The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because it took quite a while to place my order. There was no one at the register for some time, and a line of 5 people had formed. However, my Cold Ginger Coffee with Hazelnut was absolutely amazing!"
Try it next time.

The people and place were great, but I just didn’t like the coffee very much.

Honestly we had a very poor experience! Walked in about 15 minutes before closing, orders and paid. After waiting for 10 minutes they notified us that our drinks couldn’t be made hot as they close their machines down about 10 minutes before closing. So we ended up with iced drinks on a cold winter night. Poor form, very disappointing.

Good place with nice people working here, coffees are good and made well, unfortunately it can be way understaffed and the wait times ridiculous for a cup of coffee in the mornings, or to order a food item from the front. and more than once (both when it’s been busy and when it’s not) I’ve come in and they have no one at the register, after waiting 5 minutes to order even just a food item I simply walked out as no one was around to help me. They need to staff up.

Best coffee in the world but also the slowest coffee in the world. Morning rush staffed with one cashier who also makes hot food. 26 minutes to get a cup of coffee!

Everything was ok until I saw the black lives matter poster. You need to find out what this group really has done before you post that. Stole thousands, cheated, and a lot more. Won't be going back only because of that sign.

Loved the music playlist. Sooo bummed they only serve “pour-over” coffee! Really??! Asked for 1/2 small but got full cup. We always come here to buy Philz beans (Jacob’s Wonderbar) and love this coffee but won’t buy a cup again. Breakfast burritos were okay but not great.

I have ordered here 3 times on my commute in the early morning, and it has worked out so well. It’s an easy on and off from the freeway, in either direction. It is always super quick and the baristas are always sweet. This is my favorite Philz I have gone to!

Thank you Daniel for a great cup of coffee! Made to order, asked us to taste before we left and make sure it was perfect. Will definitely be back!

I don’t mind when I’m called a coffee snob, Starbucks couldn’t pay me to drink their liquid trash. I found Philz living in LA about 10 years ago and unfortunately, for the past 8 years that I’ve lived in Oregon, my pleas to have a Philz open in Portland have yet to be successful. So, I’ll just keep dreaming of mint mojito lattes and shipping Philz’ Philtered Soul beans to Portland.

This is the best coffee in Marin! These drinks are time consuming and hard to make and the staff work their butts off creating them! And always smiling and providing great customer service! A shout out to the boss Mary for creating an environment that both customers and staff enjoy! Cheers!

I have been a long-time customer of Philz, from Berkeley store since i stayed in the baby area, and now this Mill Calley store after I moved to Marin. Coffee is always good, food is great but I can never understand why staff here is SO RUDE. It's been twice already that I was talked down to by their staff. 1st incident I reached for a cinnamon jar left out on their counter, was told by a staff literally :"NOPE NOPE NOPE PUT THAT BACK" as he stared me down like I was a 3 yo child. Here is sth you can do: put the jars away, or put note saying "staff only", or you can just not leave them on the counter, OR you can politely ask your paying customer to put them back where they belong. Don't have to be so rude? 2nd incident I placed a mobile order to be picked up at 7am but wouldn't make it due to unexpected traffic on the way. I called the store at 7am asking if my order was ready, thinking if it's not done yet, I could ask staff to delay making it. Nobody wants their iced coffee to sit on the counter for 40 minutes, getting all watered down. The staff: "WeLl I DON'T knoW, I jUst WAlked in. Oh It'S rEady, you plAced orDer to be reAdy at 7, so It SHOUld be reaDy at 7, SHOULDNT IT?!?" I was flabbergasted at the freaking sass anf attitude. Dude I'm only asking if my order was ready, if not then delay it, if it's ready then nvm, i will take watered down coffee since i placed the order at 7 and couldn't make it. Freaking chill out lol. But a side note, maybe you can get a mini fridge, so you put ICED mobile order in there and keep it fresh. It's not that uncommon for stores to have that since I've seen it at other coffee/boba shops i go to. I mean, do you care to deliver the freshest, best tasting cup of coffee to your customer? I hope so.
