RH Rooftop Restaurant Marin

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted and shown directly to our table. Our server, Jack, was incredible and anticipated all of our needs and gave excellent recommendations on drinks and food. My husband who does not like artichokes loved the crispy artichoke starter, and the shrimp was cooked to perfection. Excellent wine choices, our entrées were beautifully done and had exceptional flavor. I highly recommend this restaurant. 

Wonderful service & most of the food was amazing. The steaks were charred but we were able to replace them with another dish. The ambiance is also stunningly beautiful.

Brought my friends here for lunch, they're visiting from Canada. We were greeted and seated immediately after checking in. The food is always good and the ambience is nice and welcoming. Their Salmon has alwas been my favorite, also their truffle fries, sweet potato fries and shrimp.

Our granddaughter loves dining here - the chandeliers - the olive trees - very sophisticated!

Good choices of wine/sparkling with starter of blinis with caviar - delicious. Mulholland and Chinese chicken salads were well made & satisfying. Great service (Jorge).

First time visit, meeting my 82 yo dad, so we were worried about the noise level in the restaurant. But the host when we checked in was amazing, and suggested that we wait five minutes and he was able to get a table in the back corner of the restaurant where it was much quieter. Amazing care!

The restaurant is beautiful and romantic.
The gem salad was very good.
The main courses were cooked accurately and tasted fresh.
The sides were tasty as well.
We tried the chicken, the lobster roll, the fish and ribeye steak.
It's a fancy resturant and prices are accordingly.

Burnt chicken on the caesar salad and torched bitter-tasting steak not cooked to order. Kitchen lacks basic cooking skills. Wasted money, ruined dining experience.

RH Rooftop is a visually stunning restaurant. If that matters to you more than the food, you'll be very pleased. The food is so-so and double the price it would be in any other fine dining restaurant. $19 for a glass of wine! Menu selections are limited, and entrees come unaccompanied on the plate unless you order a side, for more money. Two of us had the burgers, and one the fried chicken sandwich, and they enjoyed their selections, as much as they would have at a fast food restaurant at 1/4th price. Two had salads, the gem and Chinese chicken. Both were okay but nothing special. The grilled shrimp entree however was over-salted and greasy. As to service, one diner's order was completely overlooked, water glasses were never refilled, and there was no ongoing check-in. Meanwhile, because we exceeded the maximum table number of six guests by one, a seven year old child who was squeezed in, we were charged a large party flat rate service fee of 20%. For poor service. Plus they add a 4% fee for staff benefits to every tab. So, food court quality food in a stunning setting with mediocre service and grossly overpriced, limited selection menu items. We have better restaurants here in Marin. No, you don't always get what you pay for.

What a beautiful dining experience, we had a large party and they were very accommodating! The atmosphere is elegant, beautiful, and comfortable. Lots of great options from salads to sandwiches, to steaks and a great cocktail menu with alcohol free options! This is an experience and I hope to return!
