I received an access lounge pass from one of the managers at a store at South Coast plaza. I remember coming here a few years ago when they accepted AMEX members. Due to Covid, they were closed for a while. I heard they were open again so I decided to check it out when I was shopping at South Coast. My access lounge pass was good for 4 people. There were two of us and they gave us a mini tour of the place. This places reminds me of an upscale airport lounge. There were plenty of little rooms and a couple bigger rooms to accommodate larger groups. There's also a little area where you can have meetings and work. We were the only ones there that evening since we came on a weekday. We were offered light snacks and complimentary beverages. It was a nice little break from shopping. The service was amazing!

This location would've gotten five stars but unfortunately since they closed the service to AMEX platinum cars and did not guide us as to where we can continue using this amenity through the platinum card, they receive two stars. I wish they were more helpful in guiding us to the correct direction.

I used to come before the pandemic and was sad to see they had closed for a while, but it turns out it was for renovation. I came over the weekend to see that they were back open. While I used to come as an Amex member they said that the partnership is no longer in place and that it's a true "members only" lounge. They allowed me to stay this time since I didn't know but the quality of service still remained. The staff are all great and attentive. They even told me the process of having an annual membership. Always a great escape.FYI there are only a few ways to get into the lounge now. Member, which is invite only. Getting a day pass as a spender in the shops. Or promotions given out by local vendors or the mall itself.

Update No Amex Platinum Access: It was great while it lasted. Went today because Saks doesn't open until 12pm, and thanks to all the greedy AMEX abusers of this great service, you cannot access the lounge without day pass. People don't be rude and greedy check in once, relax for a bit and leave. This is not your home. Hopefully we will gain acess again, I really enjoyed the service, and employees were always so nice.
UPDATE: Access Lounge no longer accept AMEX Platinum card. When asked, apparently some people were abusing the system by going to lounge 3x per day; why people, why? Sad but glad that such was necessary to truncate the abusers.

7/4/22 update, they no longer accept Amex Plat cards (again). Would be nice if they just permanently accepted or denied it. Only good thing is it is near Saks Fifth Avenue anyway so you can get your $50 purchase there in one trip

I have been here many times with AMEX platinum card but yesterday they said they stop let Amex platinum to use the lounge. It's such a sad news and I hope it is not a permanent decision.

Stopped by after some shopping at Saks after realizing we could get in with our AMEX Platinum card. Check-in was super easy - just showed the hostess our card and she logged in our info and offered us a private room near the restroom. My husband tried a glass of wine and a beer while I stuck with coffee (decaf but still tasted good black). We were offered jalapeno chips and water as well!The lounge was clean, hostess was friendly, coffee and wine was delicious and beer was refreshing - will definitely be stopping by on our next shopping trip to relax in between or after shopping.

Amex platinum is accepted back again. Friendly staff and nice clean area as always. Yelp says it's open at 10am on weekdays but when I went last Wednesday, they opened at 11am.
