Got a quick cup of coffee here because the line at Sbux was ridiculous. I got an iced Americano. I drink it black, so I get the full flavor of the coffee. I liked it, not bad for the $5, plus $2 tip. It is a bit much for 16oz but its at South Coast so its expected.
When I went there they had an incredible coconut latte, far better than anything like starbucks. It is a bit on the pricey side as two small lattes were around 12 dollars, but I would recommend trying one of their pastries or lattes at least once.
Was over at South Coast Plaza and tried out this place. Wasn't too hungry so I ordered just a straight shot of single espresso. No milk, no sugar, nothing fancy. And boy did it impress me. It was smooth, mild, syrupy and had a deep, rich finish. No astringency, bitterness or sourness at all. It really did remind me of what you'd typically find in Italy. I will try out their milk-based drinks next time I go there.
