Crowded. My kind of place except that there isn't enough seating or standing room. Good beer. Next time if there’s no place to set my beer, I’ll be looking elsewhere. Other than that if you can get seating the atmosphere is lively and worth staying.

I constantly come buying some food in this place. I enjoyed the speedy service and well prepared dishes. Highly recommended.

I was there celebrating my brother's birthday so there were a few of us there. I spent over $50 on beer and food for my kids and myself. My 2 year old obviously doesn't have a pallet for the food that they have available so I went to the nearest Pollo Loco to pick up some chicken for my 2 year old. I was told that I was not allowed to feed my child inside the brewery. I told the busser/worker that I bought food for the rest of my kids and myself but he told me that I still was not allowed. So I had to feed my 2 year old in the car while my food got cold. Not a great experience since I myself work for the service industry and it was the first time I wasn't allowed to take food for my toddler.

Was fantastic hanging out with the kitchen crew. Despite the power going out, it just added to the Halloween spirit.

Seemed to be a local hot spot and was overflowing with people on a Saturday night. Had a nice selection of beers and a good vibe. Thoroughly enjoyed the Orange Curtain IPA.

Trash. You'd be better off being served a can of cold spaghettio's then eating this garbage. Don't bother asking for your food prepped a certain way, because it will still come to you incorrect. Service was abysmal, beer was flat. They should leave the place a garage, it would be more helpful.

Sad to hear that this place will be closing at the end of the month. I came here to try the peanut butter patsy (coconut) on nitro. I'm a huge fan of stouts, so a friend recommended this drink. It did not disappoint! I love the coconut aroma and it was very creamy. We also got the Rueben sandwich and grilled cheese. Both sandwiches were delicious and paired nicely with our beer. They also had some self serve popcorn to snack on. Hopefully they find another place to relocate to.

One of Costa Mesa's first breweries and best in the area. Get here by 10/31/19 as unfortunately they will be closing due to major increase in their rent. Sad to see this place go. Hopefully their famous Patsy recipe will live on somewhere...

Just HAD to make the trek to Costa Mesa from Burbank with some peeps and come visit this soon to be closed Brewery. October 31st Barley Forge is closing their doors, and folks, the beer world just won't be the same. Come down and enjoy legendary brewery while you can!

I hate being negative I live so close I want to like BF so much I see the sadness when I was last in BF. It all makes sense I just heard it was closing sorry to hear that any business is closing at the end of the month. This land lord is just greedy. California if it doesn't get its head out of its a** will continue to loose companies in the restaurant business to states such as Texas and Arizona that have tip credit. Why would a business owner take on all the liability for no money? With minimum wage skyrocketed I feel sorry for companies such as this that work on thin margins.

The worst burger I've ever had. The meat was burnt black and the entire thing was drenched in sauce. The fries and beer were ok though lol. One friend told me not to get the chicken because multiple people have reported getting sick. Another friendly person in line told me they're closing down in a month.

Came here on a recommendation by a coworker and the BF, the BF and I decided to come here after we got off work. Primarily we came because we heard the rumors Barley Forge is closing down on 10/31. The BF has been a fan of their beers for a while and when I told him the news that they were closing he insisted we stop by before we made the journey back to the IE. We went right after I got off work and luckily it hadn't gotten too busy but majority of the tables were taken so we ended up sitting at the bar. We were served by the owner and he was quick and was able to get our beer order in and to us in a timely manner. The BF got their Future Tripping double IPA and I went ahead and got a beer flight with 5 of their beers. My rating are as follows for the beers I tasted in the order I tasted them: Elle Woods Blonde ale - 5/5. It's a simple and refreshing blonde ale. I enjoyed it as my first taste Future Tripping Double IPA - 5/5 SOLID double. I also enjoyed this beer. It was smooth and had a good taste to it Nom Nom Mango Hef - 4/5. Pretty good. I couldn't really taste the mango essence of it but it wasn't bad. Fruity Brettles Saison - 3/5. I thought this beer was too sweet for a saison. I mean this beer has a combination of fruits in it but yeah this beer wasn't palatable for my taste buds. Dog Days Oktoberfest - 4/5. This is one of the better Oktoberfest beers I've had in a while. I thoroughly enjoyed drinking it. After drinking the first few tasters, I decided to try some of their food. i ordered the chili, pulled pork slider, and lamp slider with tots. The chili wasn't spectacular. I'd avoid it and try the other items on the menu. The pulled pork slider was okay and so was the lamp slider. The banger of the meal were the tots. The tots with the queso fresca sprinkled on top and supplemented with the sriracha mayo sauce was yummers! Overall, cool atmosphere and have solid beers. I'd come back. Hopefully, they stay open. I pray they do!

I am writing this review with alot of sadness. Because they are closing! Alot of articles are stating its due to the high cost of rent especially their unit... One of my favorite stouts, The Patsy! My first time having them was at LA Fair. I was in love!!!! The brewery has amazing food! Lamb Burger! Its a must! It was so good! Very tender and the flavors are just amazing! The taters are amazing too with drizzled amazing sauce on top! I had their taster flight of beer: Most unique beers ever: Mango, Horchata, and Mexican Chocolate! They also serve Hans Vanilla Ice Cream here! Its the best homemade ice cream ever! Come here and have a beer. Toast to an amazing brewery!

Nice brewery and good food. I'd order this he Bison Burger again. It's very tasty. I would have never thought about putting cucumbers on a burger. Common Cider is good. A little dry for my taste but not really dry.
