Huge chile relleno fan here- so when I searched for the nearest fix, this place came up. I was so excited that I order my usual 5 taco extravaganza (3 asada, 1 fish and 1 al pastor), plus 2 chile rellenos and 1 chile relleno burrito. To start things off, the menus are over 2 years old on here - each chile relleno a la cart is $7.50, not $4.50. The chile relleno burrito (not listed on menu) is $8.25 while tacos are $2.50 each. The batter on the chile relleno tasted old, there is not enough egg and not enough flavor. I should have just ordered 1 to try, now I'm stuck with 3 (my fault). The meat in the tacos were heavily salted and chewy. Only the fish taco was good. Bummer, will keep searching for a chile relleno place!

It was our first time going to this restaurant. It wasn't crowded at all when we arrived. All the employees were very friendly and welcoming, we felt right at home. There were 3 of us, and we all got different wet burritos: Shrimp burrito with salsa rojo, al pastor burrito with salsa rojo, and a carne asada burrito with salsa verde. We also got super nachos to share. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. We can't wait to go back!

I moved down the street a few months ago and La Canada was the first restaurant I went to in our neighborhood. I've had their quesadillas and tacos a couple of times and loved each one especially the grilled/fried fish tacos. My boyfriend had the Cubana sandwich before and he said it was delicious. My new favorite is their bomb shrimp cocktails. I've never had a Mexican shrimp cocktail before La Canada and my boyfriend and I are seriously hooked! I don't think you can go wrong with any dish from here. Oh can't forget the sauces!! I'm a huge fan of sauces and enjoy their green and red sauces. I appreciate that they aren't cheap with it either! The food is consistently good and the staff are quick and super friendly. I'm not sure if the cashier guy is the manager or owner, but he always seems to be in good spirits. Overall always a great experience and definitely recommend.

Recently found this little hidden gem! Food is AMAZING, comes out quick and hot. Generous portions would be an understatement! Owner is super friendly. Get out and support small business, mom 'n pop shops. You won't be sorry!!!

I was looking for a decent laundry spot local to home (Mesa Verde Dr E & Adams) and took a bit of a drive.. Put a load in.. (Ha) and walked around to find a spot to eat.. Found this little spot La Canada Grill.. and WOW!! Their food is bombski!! Straight across the border authentic food !! The best I have tried since ELA! This is the only spot to eat at in the OC. The food is brilliant and the service impeccable!! The staff is very attentive and delightful to say the least.. They have my money and future business.. Don't think just get down here and enjoy getting more than you paid for. Good people, Good food! So bring good company and get all this in your belly!!

The place for Authentic Mexican food. Beyond the food though, the guys here are so nice. Like eating a family's house, but you know, the family you like. Will 100% come back again and love supporting small business. I had the whole fish...fried mojarrra. Very good. Super crispy. Wife had the enchiladas which she really liked. Sorry forgot to take the pics.

This place needs more recognition. It's simply the best, good ol' fashion, authentic Mexican food around. We love the al pastor, carne asada, and blackened fish tacos. They're not those tiny little "street tacos". Lots of bang for your buck here when it comes to the food and super friendly service every time. I feel bad that it's taken me this long to review such a great spot. They have outdoor seating available now and are closed on Thursdays.
