I loved the decor and vibe. Very nice staff. The food was delicious and the portions were plentiful. We had a nice little family dinner and will definitely be back.

The breakfast is delicious here. The chicken fried steak was thick and very good. And the chocolate chip pancakes were awesome.

Fifty years later, after several different owners and it's like coming home. Super busy on the weekends, wonderful staff that will talk or leave you alone. Thank you for hanging in.

A really delicious breakfast option in Costa Mesa. I would not really call it a diner because it is a bit more upscale than that. It does have a very 1960s, early 70s vibe to it which I loved. Inside is very large and there are many different rooms with different seating options. They also have indoor and outdoor seating. There’s a large free parking lot attached so we were able to find a space a few feet from the door. Our server was extremely polite and everything that we ordered came out faster than expected.
They have a very large menu with all sorts of classic dishes on it, but there’s enough variety that you will be able to try different items during each visit. I started off with a cup of the Chili and thought it was surprisingly good. It had a very hearty flavor to it, lots of meat, and it was seasoned really well. I also loved that they covered it in onions and overall I really enjoyed it. For my breakfast I chose the Country Fried Steak because I’ve only heard great things about it. I can confirm it is delicious and I would recommend. It was perfectly crispy, but not overly done, and was fair in size.
Overall, a really solid breakfast or lunch option if you are in the Orange County area.

Throw me back into the early 60s! I was so excited to come to Dick's Church for sunday morning. And they did not disappoint! Our server was the most hospitable to myself and three kids. Even with our luggage in tow with us! No questions asked! Delicious food, my body and soul was fed. Honestly I had quite the encounter while eating there, not sure why but my spirit was healed of something too. GREAT food and people. And live music Fridays/Saturdays. Great from the whole family!!!
