The food was blah in terms of the dumplings and the green beans I ordered based on multiple reviews
Nothing to rave about
I feel like there are a lot of fake reviews creating a hype for this place
Expensive

The best XLBs ever. The cucumber salad is delicious and the pot stickers are like no other. We love DTF ❤️

We're loyal customers, we go to this DTF weekly. On Sunday, we ordered our favorite black sesame XLB dessert, it took a long time to arrive, after the server opened the basket, we saw a bright green foreign object on one of the XLB. Luckily we noticed it before serving it to our child! A manager checked and confirmed that it's a foreign material. She took the basket back and ordered a new one for us. We had to wait again though! It also made us concerned about their food safety standards!

Stopped in on Saturday after shopping at Costa Mesa shopping mall - the wait was nearly an hour for a table but the hostess recommended on still adding a name for a table while waiting in line for a bar seat. Ended up getting a seat at the bar after about 30 min wait, luckily. Ordered my favorite sides of mushroom and cucumbers with wonton soup with crab meat. The food took over 30 min and when delivered it was luke warm instead of steamy hot. The bartender was super efficient by reordering as a rush order. Ultimately, I enjoyed the food and service and will more likely return with a reservation.

I placed a take out order but somehow the order was lost. When I arrived they not only rushed my order and apologize profusely, the gave me an appetizer on the house. Amazing service and follow up by the manager Amy!! I love coming here, the food is amazing and they have impeccable service!!

Disappointed on how long everything took the portions are for two not for four. One of the items we ordered took 20 minutes to come we asked 2 times about it

I love Din Tai Fung. its great spot to have incredible dumplings and dim sum the only thing its always busy and there's always a line depending on the time of the day you might have to wait over an hour. but its cool unique spot where you can see them making the dumplings and I appreciate the transparency.

DTF is a staple in SoCal. While the ambiance and food is good, it’s on the upper end of the prices. Having said that, the consistency is there and their fried rice is pretty good.
