El Moro Churrería is a famous churro shop from Mexico City, now located in the US inside a terrific mercado, a Mexican food heaven. The churros are the absolute best, authentic, and on par with the quality in Mexico. They are phenomenal, with the best crunch, never soggy, and have the perfect texture and classic churro flavor. They are made to order, typically hot and fresh, with a nice balance of sweetness. The shop also offers seasonal specials like a gingerbread churro, which has a vanilla, spiced aroma, and their hot chocolate is great. Service is fast and the staff is very nice. While occasionally a churro might be room temperature, it remains an enjoyable, solid, and worthwhile treat.
