The saisons are tasty but the ambiances sucks.

I found this place when I needed to kill some time after landing at the Santa Ana Airport. I was drawn in by the cool decor and area. I chatted with the bartender for a while while waiting or a few buddies. The beer selection was really good and the ones recommended to me by the bartender were great. Definitely worth a try.

Friendly barkeeps, helped educate me on a couple things. Three outstanding brews: 1) Brett Ale. I would drink this every day. 2) Dry Hopped Brett. 3) BBA Imp. Stout is beyond great. 15.3%, so it’s efficient.

I've thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed ambiance, delicious drinks, and even attended a fun calligraphy class at this brewery. The bartenders are fantastic, always offering great recommendations. However, my recent experience with the private parking lot adjacent to the brewery was disappointing. My car was towed without notice, and while they reportedly tow after 8 pm on Fridays, there are no signs indicating this. Just a heads-up for others to avoid parking there, as it can lead to an unexpected and EXPENSIVE towing situation.

Beers were great. I really like the setup of this place - there are several distinct areas so you have options for seating/vibe. Free wifi (had a beer while getting some work done). They had a pop up wood fired pizza shop that was excellent - I missed the exact name - Il Pia[xxxxx]? They had live music too. Would come back for sure

Both the beer and the service are great here! My family and I came here for their kids skate lessons on Sundays. You can grab a beer and sit on the patio and watch your kiddo skate. It's such a fun way to spend the day with your family I also had a few of their beers at my wedding and everyone was raving about them

Great beers and awesome ambiance. Staff and service are always good. Atmosphere is low key and chill. We really enjoy coming to this brewery.

Small local brewery with great beers. Staff is knowledgeable and they have a great assortment of beers on tap. They have an eclectic rotating food menu brought in by local vendors, I'll definitely go there again.

Beer so good I had to buy the T-Shirt!

Beer here is terrible. All 3 IPAs tasted exactly the same. Very bitter. Service could be even worse. The bartender must truly hate his job. 0 personality. Seemed like we were an inconvenience to him for stopping in. If you want good beer, good service and a much better environment, head over to Green Cheek. I'd rate it a Top 5 brewery in my book.

Been coming here for years. The selection of beer is pretty good, typically a choice for just about any type of beer fan, from your typical pale ale to a sour to a stout.I have to give a five-star review because a good friend and I came back here after a couple years. We used to come here all the time. As two females, we were harassed by a male customer upon entering the business. We were polite and explained how we weren't interested, but this guy couldn't take no for an answer. The workers were supportive and understanding. They were respectful and made us feel safe. We have been back time after time over the years, and this has just reinforced that. Cheers to great beer and customer service, as well as support for women or others when feeling unsafe.

Went with a full group of parents and kids and had a great time. Very nice open space. The DIPA was excellent. The food truck was on point. Very kid and dog friendly. The parking isn’t the easiest.

Gunwhale has a wide array of fruit-forward beers to choose from. If you like darker beers, they one one oyster stout. They offered 2 separate patio areas for seating that were well spaced out. It's an excellent spot to bring your well-behaved dogs. We didn't bring ours but got to see lots of friendly pups enjoying time with their hoomans. Their indoor space doesn't offer a ton of seating and felt a little small, so I'd definitely recommend this spot on a sunny day so you can enjoy the patio. They also had a food truck on a Saturday afternoon that had some tasty asada fries. We were too hungry when we arrived to snap a photo before devouring our fries.
