It was a pleasantly decent restaurant. I've had a lot of ramen in my life. I don't like to give 5 star ratings for ramens unless I think they truly are the best. Is this ramen 4 or 5 stars? To me, this is a solid 4.5 star Ramen. Their black garlic broth is amazing! It is creamy but not too creamy so if you like broth creamy but on the lighter side, this ramen is the best for you. My husband and I tried the pizza place next-door and shared a ramen. It was a good combination even though it probably doesn't sound like it would mix really well. The noodles were a good size as well and if you check in, you get a free topping on your Ramen. The chef made a lot of kiraage So he gave us some before he left for the day. When you order, they will ask you what kind of noodles you would like with what kind of broth and then what kind of noodles you would like. The noodle choices are straight and wavy, and you can also ask for hard noodles, which is what I did. I always opt for a harder noodle!

Ordered takeout, so haven't experienced the dining room service. The gentleman inside even ran it out to my car for me. Can't remember the name of my dish, it was the rich broth with chicken and wavy noddles and it was phenomenal. It was just under $11 and there will be enough for leftovers. I went out of my way to order from somewhere local and different than my usual. I'm so glad I did! I can't wait to sip on this ramen again, especially when the weather cools down.

The food was amazing as well as the service and most importantly care. Hiromitsu was so helpful and the sweetest! He seemed like the owner but really took the time to be kind and break down the menu and their yummy vegan ramen.

There are few tables available outdoor for dine on-site. The Ramen is great but their chicken karage is a must here. On top of that, the owner is super friendly and the service was attentative.

I ordered a cold tsukemen and the food was Surprisingly good. Noodle was straight from the boiled noodle strainer and the limes that came with the ramen complimented with the broth. A small cute location. Must try. Owned by an actual Japanese person too.

It was our first time visiting this restaurant after looking around for ramen places in OC area. The broth was really good and customer service was great as well. We also received complimentary welcome karage for the first timer, and wow.. the taste of the karage was bomb. So soft.I highly recommend this ramen restaurant if you are in Costa Mesa area.

This place is AMAZING!!! My co-workers and I have ordered from Kashiwa twice now and are dreaming of our next order! We ordered black garlic with chicken, chicken with chicken broth, and spicy black garlic with chicken - which was a good spicy at level 2! Everything was fresh, tasty and absolutely delicious! We can't wait to order again.

Best ramen around. The karaage(fried chicken) is a must. Staff and owner are always great. This is a place you have to go to.

I've been to hakata in fukuoka, and this ramen tastes like Japan! It's great!

The service & food here are so great! The owner took his time explaining the menu to us and making recommendations. We don't live nearby so a take out order wouldn't have worked, so we were seated on the outdoor tables, the owner even moved the chairs and table for us into the shade, how thoughtful! All the staff were nice and wore masks. The condiment tray even came with a hand sanitizer bottle. The ramen was great and portion is perfect. I enjoyed the food and the dining experience very much, 10/10 would recommend!

They have a build your ramen type menu that appealed to me. My sister got ramen while I got black garlic. We also ordered swirl broth, wavy noodles (which are thicker and chewier than straight noodles), green onion, mushroom, egg and pork. We also ordered karaage chicken and everything was delicious! I'll admit that the bottom of the bowl started to taste a bit salty, which I think is normal? The server was soooo polite and super helpful. They were also practicing social distancing, frequent disinfecting, and masking, so I would definitely feel good about going back.

My brother recommended this place because he heard it was just as good as Tsujita at Americana. The owner served us. (On the receipt it said his name was Hiromitsu.) He was the absolute sweetest and friendliest and highly professional. He explained in detail how to use the paper menus to order our customized ramen bowls, and our ramen came quickly. He served water in tall paper cups which made me feel safe for their one-use and disposable nature. The ramen was delicious and came with a free seasoned egg today, which was soft boiled to perfection. The swirled broth was tasty and hot and I could've had the broth and noodles alone, which says something about a ramen place that doesn't need sides to make it good. Hiromitsu gave us great house made chili sauce to add to our ramen. He also surprised us with Karaage chicken and dipping sauce (sweet chili sauce plus mayo sauce) on the house and it was the super juicy and tender fried chicken. Perfectly fried with that luscious crunch in it, and went well with the dipping sauce. 10/10 overall.

After living in Japan it's hard to find a ramen place that is authentic and delicious. This is by far my favorite ramen place! The chicken tsukemen is amazing and the karaage can't be beat.

last night was the first time we came to that magnificent restaurant. But It is no doubt not the last time. We passed a splendid evening with the courteous service, with the fine dishes and booze and with the comfortable cost. We will surely go back there in a short time.
