La Cave steak house and bar

This is always a fabulous place to have an excellent meal whether for a casual dinner or special occasion! There aren't too many restaurants that offer with your beautiful steaks a big salad and choice of two types of potato's and toasted cheese bread!!! Highly recommend!!!

I have been going to La Cave for 5 decades. I love it. But, last night was a rough one, they were completely off. I reserved a table for four adults at 5pm, for my dad's 87th birthday. First, we were crammed into a table, that was suitable for 3 grown adults. Then, began a rapid rush to get us through, drinks, dinner and out so they could jam in another customer. The nervous hostess was the worst, parading back and forth franticly looking to move diners. It was such an unsettling atmosphere - in a place where I have experienced amazing dinners throughout my childhood and adulthood. To top it all off, the food was crummy - my med-rare stake was overcooked, twice baked potatoes were dry. I really worry about La Cave - and that it was only a bad $500 night my party.

Too dark, not comfortable , and food wasn't anything to write home about . There's no prices on the menu and I didn't pay the bill so I have no idea how expensive it was .

As usual, an absolute fabulous meal. Everything tasted perfect and always consistent every time we go. The staff is always very welcoming and takes incredible. Good care of us. Such a special place to have a meal.

Sevice is great. Restaurant is cool. Nice band old school vibe. 300 bucks for a couple steaks and two drinks give me a break. They really gotta up their game.

This place brings the nostalgia along with fantastic food (Filet to be specific) and absolutely outstanding service!! Our server, Cesar, attended to our every need while we vibed to the gorgeous tunes sung by Danny Maika. It's like stepping into a time capsule that you never want to leave. We plan to return soon.

Medallions of Beef, Filet Mignon and the Halibut were all outstanding. The shrimp scampi appetizer and garlic toast were on point, and the carrot cake, and cheesecake were perfect. We were delighted by the musical performance of Ron Levy and his musical and vocal performers. The only thing that made it a difficult evening was a party of 18, over half of them kids aged between 5 and 15. They were LOUD and distracted us from having conversations, and, several other patrons asked to be seated elsewhere. Not the restaurant's fault, as everything else was perfect, and, we will be back.

My fiancé and I both ordered the filet mignon and it was delicious! The drinks were really good and the double baked potato was amazing. The service was great and Edgar did an incredible job making sure we had everything we needed. The entire staff was very friendly. We were celebrating our anniversary and they surprised us with a delicious slice of chocolate cake. We will definitely be coming back to this place for special occasions. They also had live music playing and the atmosphere was something out of a goodfellas movie. The entire restaurant is underground btw. Again I definitely recommend this place. We will definitely be coming back!

Food was bad and way over priced! You're better off going to Mastro's. They're prices are about the same!

This is my second time dining! and just like the first time it did not disappoint. This is such a unique experience and the food is amazing. Definitely that 19 whenever retro vibe.
