Love their prime rib but in the last 6 months I have found they don't tend to have rare prime rib which is what I prefer. Their sandwich is delicious nonetheless. I love their beef mushroom barley soup when they have it!

While at South Coast Plaza I tried Lawry's. I ordered the 1/2 Sandwich Combination, chicken soup and half a Roast Beef Dip Sandwich and lemonade, $22.63!! The soup tasted very good, although luke warm, and the cup size was disappointing. The half sandwich and dip tasted good, the meat had a chunk of gristle. The price for this lunch is not worth going back!

This place was good before the pandemic but something had happened. They almost always close earlier than the rest of the mall. If they are open, they are almost always out of some of the main things like prime rib, roast beef or turkey. And worst of all, their staff are like a bunch of prison guards, constantly barking at the customers things like "to go only!" Or "no more roast beef!" Quality has gone down significantly. Attached is a photo of my sandwich which had rotten avocado and barely any chicken (they were out of turkey) in it. Finally, the prices have really climbed -- it's actually astounding what it costs to get a simple sandwich or turkey platter. Too bad, because it used to be fun to go here.

Shout out to Fabian who was working during lunch on Weds Nov 17th. He welcomed the guests with warm, caring and friendly demeanor and was very helpful all through out visit. He checked on us and other guests as we were eating to see if we needed anything. I think he was working by himself at opening time and he did a great job in providing wonderful service. As always, the food at Lawry's is consistently tasty! Keep up the great work Fabian and Lawry's team :)

Would never go back. 21 dollars for one slice of prime rib and the rest bread, then an up charge if you want mashed potatoes instead of the potato chips. The staff is not very informative and seemed un- interested in my issue. Don't bother find somewhere else.

Consistent. Service is good. A good sit-down take out hybrid. Unless they rest the meat know that medium rare ends up becoming done as they bring it out. But still pretty tender.

I placed order online because it said it’d be 5 minutes. Showed up and they couldn’t find my order even though I had email confirmation . They placed a order on the spot and I ended up waited for 40 minutes. Are you kidding me. Will never be back again! Staff there just seems so clueless.

The food here is pretty good. It is a high-end fast food restaurant, but the products are very good. And you can get the meat cooked to order.

This place is located in the South Coast Plaza. You order at the counter, choose your own table, and they'll bring your order to you. I was torn between ordering the prime rib plate and adding a salad but this ended up being the better option! It was sooooooooo good. I especially liked the horseradish dressing for the salad. Dressing with a slight kick! The creme brulee was also good but a little too melted for my taste. I'm used to it being solid and custardy not like melted ice cream. I did love that they burned the sugary top to perfection! Overall, great lunch!

The prime rib was a little tough, hard to chew and lacked flavor. Everything else was decent.

It's the birthday celebration and we ordered quite a few. The husband really enjoy the 12 oz prime rib with au jus, so we ordered 3 of the same kind to share. The Nephew ordered the sandwich. The food came out pretty fast and everyone enjoyed their lunch. Quality of the food is good and consistent from the 5 6 times we've been here.

Lawry's Carvery never ceases to disappoint when it comes to their food. Consistent every time. Their prime rib sandwich has and will always be f'ing bomb! So why only 4 stars? Well, I think Lawry's Carvery deserves a better class of employees. Every time I go (this includes today), I have to deal with some of those "I don't want to be here" type of attitude from certain employees. Is it too f--king hard to get my order right when I ask for extra au jus sauce or horseradish every single damn time? Or why am I missing a set of utensils? We also almost ended up with someone else's order too. Maybe I'm being petty af. But, this place ain't cheap either. So why do I need to get cheated out of a nice dining experience, hm? It's the little things that count, which would then make this location a solid 5 star rating.

We went for lunch and I was very disappointed. First of all we paid over $45 for two sandwiches and a Mac and cheese. Then we had to wait at least 45 minutes for our sandwich's. When we got them they were very small and hardly had any meat in them. The Mac and cheese was burnt. I was actually excited to visit lawny's but I was somewhat disappointed. I don't think I would recommend unless you want to overpay for sandwiches that are very small.
