Splendid!!! I had heard raving about Sidecar Donuts here in Costa Mesa for a long time. I finally tried their don't and was not impressed in the slightest. $8.75 for 2 donuts and I was very disappointed wirh them. Oh Those Donuts rose above Sidecar with fresh traditional donuts and I was very satisfied with them. $3.80 for 2 donuts.
Been going here 35 years. Seems to be like it was for many years again. Appeared other owners had been working the store for a while. Swore I would not return. Did tonight. Now it seems like old times the young lady at the counter tonight was the best. No longer see the others around. Good Thing. Love there sandwiches.

My brothers and I stopped here on the way to Newport Beach for a deep sea fishing trip, and considering it was the only thing open at that time, they weren't the worst donuts I've ever had. They certainly weren't the best either, though. Additionally, they serve donuts beginning when they open but don't serve the sandwiches and burritos they offer until several hours later. Not a terrible experience overall, but truthfully probably won't be back.
