This place was mediocre at best. The presentation was stunning but incredibly lacking in flavor. The service was not the best either. Ambiance and aesthetics are the only things going for this restaurant. I would NOT recommend it to a friend.

That was some friends there upon their suggestion don't know if any of us had been there before or since, but they looked it up. It was close by. Tried it out. We all seem to be pretty happy with our meal and service.

Really cute restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, tasty food and drinks; friendly service. (I appreciate that they take reservations!) Parking is not too bad... there's some spots right in front but there is a structure that validates for 2hrs. We got the Red Rock and Pork Belly burger/sandwich - both really rich in flavor; pork belly had a nice kick. The peach mojito and mimosa flight were also great choices. I will say food and drinks took a little bit of time to arrive though.

This one's been on my list for a little bit and so glad to got to try today! Parking was a bit tough, but the restaurant was empty. The service was A+ and the bathroom had a great fun vibe! Food was mediocre. We ordered 2 breakfast items (one sweet and one savory) and both were okay. The service made up for the food for sure!

Business brunch meeting. Picked the place randomly (after looking at their menu online) I had the turkey spinach wrap and salad. I wish I had pictures but the food was too good, couldn’t wait. Choice of outdoor, high top or regular seating. All good. Parking not fantastic but plenty available in the structure steps away. I will be back!

Food here was great! Service was quick, great brunch spot located near South Coast Plaza. Also, the fresh juice offerings they have are worth a try.

When my friends suggested this place and I looked at the menu, I was beyond excited to try it out. I saw the menu had Hungarian sausage (if you know, you know) and I started looking very forward to my breakfast. I was also intrigued by why an Australian restaurant would tout Hungarian sausage, but what did I care, I was going to get some. Upon ordering, I asks and the server got very offended by my question on why Hungarian Sausage. OK, so we ordered and moved on. We had a lactose intolerant person with us and it ended up that the latte she ordered without lactose, did indeed have lactose. We ordered a side of bacon, that showed up with cilantro flakes, she doesn't like cilantro and asked server why they served cilantro with bacon, which proceeded to offend the server even more. When my food, with Hungarian sausage showed up and I tasted it (all I had to do was look at it), low and behold it was anything but Hungarian sausage. Of course we asked about that too, the server claimed it was and got more offended. Also, the eggs were anything but scrambled! She pretty much ignored our table after that and we ended up needed things that did not come. Then when she came back to drop the bill, without us even asking, we asked her to split it 1/3 by 2/3. She could not comprehend that and we had to give her an amount to charge each cc. (By the way, she had a portable charge machine with her.) So needless to say, we might have enjoyed our meal, but the service alone made it an uncomfortable time. Not to mention the lactose intolerant person ended up with stomach issues.

What an amazing epicurean experience at Outpost kitchen for dinner. Kenny provided us with a wonderful unique customer experience that is not easy to come by in restaurants, and he made the most delicious cocktails. We started with the happy hour bruschetta and both had the Party Paloma (highly recommend for a summer vibe) and for dinner had the braised lamb with sesame noodles and the prime skirt steak. Both highly recommend and will be back to try more items on the menu.

Yeah this place is actually pretty good. Arrived on a Friday at 1145am. Instantly seated for a party of 5 (work lunch). Take a look at the menu. It's a pretty good menu. Breakfast items and lunch items until 3pm! Damn good food. You can literally eat a pancake while eating a burger. How rad is that ?? Ok so ... what did I order? The burger. It's $19. Yeah it's steep compared to In-N-Out but does it beat most burgers? Yep. That wonderfully cooked egg thrown on top of the burger that oozes down as you bite into it. Oh yeah, be sure you have that napkin in your lap or be prepared for egg yolk to splatter all over ur pants, panties, shorts, or whatever else you're wearing haha. But for reals, the burger is a little steep, but it's great. Oh it had a little bit of Cole slaw on the side too. lol but who cares - it's the burger that wins it all here. Side note: the parking validation is whack - they'll validate ur ticket but when you shove it into the machine to exit, it doesn't recognize it. So you gotta call the darn attendant to help. Either way, I'll be back - if it's on the company's dime bc I'm a cheapo and the food here is ... well ... south coast plaza priced lol

While I typically refrain from attributing experiences to race, my recent visit to this restaurant left me with no other plausible explanation. Came in to be sited, manager looks at us with the look of “you are not welcomed here”, he walks by and his demeanor forced me to say hi, he ignores me and just walks on.I felt I was overthinking things when he went into the kitchen and told the cook something and from the glass window demarcating the kitchen, the cook poked his head out and our eyes instantly lock for a second, he looks away and in a few minutes our food comes out and to our surprise, there was not a drop of seasoning in it.I called the so called manager out on his attitude when we walked in and he responded “I was only responding to the energy you were coming at me with, I match people’s energy” shocking! Maybe I’m just tripping. Well, I had no intentions of coming back. The only good thing about our experience was our server, as it should be.I know OC can be a bit whitewashed but that’s some archaic move for today. If you are African and experience any unwelcoming attitudes in outpost kitchen, please let us know as well.

I've brunched here twice now, and it's a trendy spot conveniently located across the street. The ambiance is charming, and each visit has been a delight. The food and coffee are simply delicious, and their attention to plating is truly picture-worthy, especially with their beautifully crafted cappuccinos. On sunny days, sitting outside is so nice. It's a really cute spot I've stumbled upon here in Costa Mesa.

Young and professional eatery. Food is also great and service is amazing. Plenty of outdoor sitting with the California sun. Of the two dishes the salmon and shrimp Benedict was my favorite. Curious to try the Protein bowl the next time out here. Please try this restaurant. It's right across South coast plaza so perfect spot for brunch and some girl shopping. Plenty of parking with a structure close. Restaurant does provide validations.
