Usually this is a safe bet for Chinese food located inside the Mitsuwa in Costa Mesa. However this visit was different. I ordered the mapo tofu spicy and the bbq pork egg omelet with gravy over rice. This was the first time getting the omelet and it was a bit salty. It was also a little burnt. As for the mapo tofu I don't remember it being this salty. The chow fun I had was very sweet and did not have bean sprouts that I'm used to having in chow fun everywhere else. The people that worked there looked a bit miserable and did not smile, but the guy at the register accepted my cash payment with two hands (a very humbled gesture).
It’s been a while since we came to this food court. It was busy on a Saturday afternoon when we came for a late lunch. Pleasantly surprised and very satisfied with the won ton noodles: good number of wontons, fresh green vegetable, and good portion thin chewy noodles in authentically tasty warm broth.
