Usually this is a safe bet for Chinese food located inside the Mitsuwa in Costa Mesa. However this visit was different. I ordered the mapo tofu spicy and the bbq pork egg omelet with gravy over rice. This was the first time getting the omelet and it was a bit salty. It was also a little burnt. As for the mapo tofu I don't remember it being this salty. The spice level wasn't soo high but the saltiness was overpowering. Maybe it was just an off day for them. I usually get the bbq pork over rice.

It’s only 10 yuan, and the taste is very good. I’ll come back when I have time.

Food great. You go to the window, so no real service. Order came up in a timely fashion. Atmosphere is a food court that is

rated this place before with more stars but these last few visits been a waste of time. they keep closing the kitchen sooner even though it says last order is 7. this time I arrived a bit before 6:45 and the guy says its too late. so I dont know when the last order is, it depends how they feel I guess.

I’ve taken family and friends here many times and have lived it each and every time. Food quality and quantity is above standard and very friendly staff. Highly recommend

I ordered from here for the first time on door dash just now and I fail to see why there's so much negativity. Photos and reviews show this as a small food court restaurant in a Japanese market. Somewhat strange place to find some cheap, fast, and authentic Cantonese food. I ordered some BBQ pork egg foo young and tofu and mixed vegetables. Dumped brown sauce over everything. Was less than ten bucks for the omelette and portion is huge. Vegetables consisted of nappa cabbage and bok choy and we're freshly steamed. Very fresh and vibrant full of green color and vitamins. I believe the tofu was soft shelf stable tofu--the cheap kind. Is pretty decent in my book. Everything was fresh authentic and cheap. Best authentic Chinese food I've had in a while. Nothing fancy just what you'd typically find in Hong Kong. Will order again 5/5 for being real deal and for being inexpensive.

I got food poisoning after I ate their chicken katsi plate. I knew something was off with the food when there was lukewarm rice and frozen katsu sauce. Came down with a fever with a headache, nausea, and diarrhea. Never eating at the place ever again.

Great customer service! Their food is also delicious, i've eaten the char siu rice bowl and the omelette with gravy over steamed rice and there wasn't really much I could complain about. The lady working there is very nice and generous especially during these tough times, would recommend people to give this place a shot

a bit on the pricey side but portions are generous - the better half tried the bbq beef and katsu bowl and loved the flavors. the spam a bit on the pricey side but also delicious and pleasingly prepared. there is a HUGE variety of dishes served so will be updating later as we taste and enjoy more.

The chow fun I had was very sweet and did not have bean sprouts that I'm used to having in chow fun everywhere else. The people that worked there looked a bit miserable and did not smile, but the guy at the register accepted my cash payment with two hands (a very humbled gesture).

Don't eat here. The lady is crazy and yells and chases people in the santouka line. Jealousy? Dementia? Definitely, salty.

Employee was harassing customers in line for the ramen restaurant next door. She continues to harass a man waiting in line. She keeps coming back to harass him. I would never to go a place that has someone like that working there. I would give a 0 star if I could.

This lady is crazy. Yells and chases customers in the santouka line for no reason. Can't wait to see the for lease sign go up.

Very mediocre quality food for high prices. Bbq Pork buns were mostly bun and almost no meat very long wait times with almost no customers. The surrounding restaurants have far better offerings.

This is my favorite place inside mitsuwa. I like the fried noodle dishes, lots of food, good price, and very tasty! I almost always have leftovers that I bring to work for lunch
