The Straw: Modern Milkshakes

Honestly, won't be back. Milkshakes were fine. But what really ruined the experience was the way the manager(?) was talking to the younger employee. He was very loud and demeaning. There's a way to tactfully coach someone and disturbing the patron's experience while embarrassing an employee who seemed kind and eager to do well... It wasn't it. Hopefully it was just a bad day and he does better.

I had one of the tastiest milkshakes of my life here! The Donkey Kong (banana chocolate milkshake) and Apple Bottom (a slice of apple pie in apple caramel ice cream) we're both so, SO good. And the owner Patrick was super friendly and a blast to chat with. If you're looking for a fun, cozy spot to enjoy a fist class milkshake, The Straw is your place! :D

This place is so cute. The milkshakes were delicious! They have a big menu of unique flavors. We were there on a Friday evening, they had music playing, they have a shelf of board games and fire pit going outside, super fun environment. The owner was so helpful and kind. I highly recommend!

Me and my son stumbled across The Straw in Costa Mesa yesterday, and when I say it was the best hidden gem ever! I mean it! My son found the place on Google because he didn’t want a “regular” milkshake from McDonald’s or Wendy’s, and this spot did not disappoint.

From the moment we walked in, the vibe was perfect, chill, welcoming, and filled with good energy. The music playing was soulful think Erykah Badu, SZA, Mariah Carey, that smooth R&B vibe that just makes you want to stay a while. The atmosphere was spotless, cozy, and stylish, and the staff made us feel right at home.

And the milkshakes? Absolute perfection! You can tell they’re made with love and quality ingredients. We ordered the Apple bottom and The Street. This place is definitely our new go-to for milkshakes, nothing else compares. Thank you to the Gentleman who was there for creating such an amazing experience. We’ll definitely be back again and again! 💕🍨

Good milkshakes. This place has a really fun vibe with area in front to hang out outside too. Friendly and helpful staff ready to help make it a good time. Flavors are fun and there was variety to the choices, however the flavors weren't as vibrant as we expected. Apple pie, monkey banana, and cup of cookie dough.

Honestly the best dang milkshake I ever had in my life. Highly recommend “GLAMP-FIRE” for all my smores lovers out there
