There are so many lovely things about this space: the drinks, the food, the people, the music - while on deployment with Marines I told everyone about this place because it's a cultural phenomenon seeking to collaborate with other creators. The vibe is something and is clearly experienced in their service to the very loyal following of diverse patrons

Finally crossed this place off my bucket list, and I regret not coming here sooner! Located right next to the Anti-mall in Costa Mesa. I got the classic sando and the ube latte with matcha. The sando seemed a bit pricey at first but it was really good, and exceeded my expectations! I got the ube latte with matcha which was not too sweet. The service was also excellent! They accidentally messed up my drink order but compensate with an upsize which was super nice! Everything was super aesthetic and I really enjoyed the vibe of the place. Seating is a bit limited as it's a small space.

I love WIP! Always a great ambiance and the staff are always friendly. Their mint matcha latte and Classic Sando with (turkey and no cheese) are my go-to!! I would come here much more often if I lived closer!

Super cute place to bring your laptop and do some work! Yummy light food and drinks. It's in the smaller side so I think we got lucky with a table outside. Relaxing cafe environment with free WiFi.

I recently checked out a new trendy café in town, and I'm so glad I did! The coffee was delightful, but the star of the show was the breakfast burrito--absolutely scrumptious. The café itself boasts a cool layout, bathed in natural light, creating a welcoming vibe. Plus, the staff were super chill and friendly! Update: tried the Ube latte with espresso and it was very good combo. Did not expect it to be good but was recommended by a local!

The matcha latte and breakfast burrito was not good. The first breakfast burrito where I've had beans and onions so that was interesting. The matcha latte felt off but couldn't pinpoint what it was. I think the matcha wasn't as strong as I'd like it to be and so it felt overpowering with the brown sugar.

WIP is nice. Been here a few times. Today we got the breakfast burrito - one with bacon, one with pastrami. It is a good meal. I would say that it's not your typical breakfast burrito - there's a lot going on with lots of different ingredients compared to your normal breakfast burrito (beans, curtido, scallions, etc.). I could see why some people would love it but it's just not what I'm really going for when I'm going out for a breakfast burrito. I would say I would get it again, it's definitely quality, just doesn't make it on my top breakfast burritos of all time list. Still love WIP tho My wife also got a mint matcha, which was so nice. It's like mint chip ice cream in drink form. We got it half sweet. I usually just get coffee but I wish I had gotten one of these as well! I've also had the veggie sandwich from here a long time ago. I remember it being super good. Interested in trying the breakfast sando in the future. Cool merch. Nice workers. Fits the trendy Newport/costa mesa vibe.

My favorite coffee spot in Costa Mesa! This is definitely where the cool people hangout. Every time I'm here the people taking my order are helpful and kind. My go to coffee is the hazelnut toffee latte iced. It's got just the right amount of sweetness and the coffee has a great flavor to it. Some coffees have that acidic taste to it and theirs is so smooth! I've had the breakfast sando, AM burrito & spicy sando. I love that the food here isn't a huge portion where you need a nap immediately after. It's filling while still being light enough to continue your day. The bread is soft and buttery. The breakfast sando's ham is flavorful and savory. The eggs are a nice texture as well. I love the aioli on it! The spicy sando has salami, pickled jalapeños, cheese, some arugula and herbed aioli. It's got a nice kick but isn't going to make you spiced out. I'd definitely get this again!

The Mint Matcha was refreshing and unique. I didn't know what to expect but the mint actually complimented the matcha. After a while I personally thought the mint flavor was overpowering but I would come back for it if I'm craving something different! It was also packed to the brim on a Friday afternoon. I wouldn't recommend this place as a good study spot because parking is difficult, there's lots of people walking in and out, moderate to high noise level, and low tables. It seems like a lot of ppl ordered their sandwiches so I'll be back to try!

Work in progress was so good and it's such a cute cafe. I ordered the spicy sando and hazelnut toffee latte. The spicy sando was absolutely delicious. I loved the bread they used. It was soft on the inside and a bit crunchy on the outside. It went so well with everything inside of the sando. I was very satisfied when I was done with my sandwich. The latte was also very delicious. This cafe was super crowded and very busy. I went on a Saturday during brunch time so makes sense why it was busy. The sando was so worth it and I would definitely come back!

Absolutely love this place. Can get quite busy and hard to find a seat, but it's worth it! The rosemary latte with salted foam is hands down the best coffee drink in Orange County. I also really enjoy their matcha tonic! Overall, drink and food menu has great options and everything is super yummy. The pastrami breakfast burrito is also one of the best in Orange County. I can usually stay and get work done, but if you don't do well in loud/busy environments it might not be the best spot. Fun for a date though!

BEST MATCHA IN SOCAL!! love this place and everytime i'm in the area i will come and buy a match. the best matcha here is their seasonal jamaican strawberry matcha. i will say that it is very busy and small so if you are trying to find a study place, this is probably not the cafe for you. but GET THE MATCHA and then find somewhere else to study. i have yet to try anything else because the matcha was sooooooo good but ill update once i try their coffee. i dream about their matcha every day and will literally die for it. (i drank two of the matchas in the picture) it's also very consistent. at other cafes, sometimes a drink is super good one day but the next it's mediocre. BUT at WIP it's ALWAYS GOOD!!! i swear by this matcha and i want them to open a new location near me. as mentioned previously, my fav is their strawberry matcha but i have also tried their cherry matcha and it's also sooo good. ive never seen or tried a cherry flavored latte so this was pleasantly surprising. anyways, i could talk on and on about WIP but i will stop here and BEG YOU TO TRY IT!!!

The interior is insanely gorgeous and the drinks are beautiful not only in appearance but taste!! Literally fulfills all my dreams of working from a cafe :-) I've tried the rosemary latte & the pineapple shrub fizz. Their rosemary latte tastes similar to an iced vanilla latte with sea foam *chef's kiss.* The pineapple shrub fizz tastes like sparkling water with their house maple syrup. I absolutely loveeee their sandwiches too! NOTE: There's very limited indoor/outdoor seating so I recommend arriving early for a table as it gets busy quick. There's free wifi and few outlets. Parking can be difficult especially on weekends.
