Jaded Toad BBQ & Grill Cotati

Had dinner there tonight. The servers were friendly and attentive, but the kitchen was clearly having an off night. A couple things weren't edible, but other items were really good. The outdoor seating was really nice, it's a cool concept, I hope they figure it out.

Great vibe and atmosphere. It's mostly outdoors but the bar tops and a few tables offer cover from sun or rain. Firepits and friendly fast service!

The vibes here are immaculate, the staff is incredibly friendly and super fast

The drinks selection is fantastic and caters to everyone

The food is consistently delicious and well priced

I been a good customer for a long time at this place, not going back.

I have a “interesting experience “ at Jaded Toad - Cotati , I went for dinner after work, I ordered something and I was given the wrong food( I didn’t realize that) I started eating without realizing it wasn’t the food I ordered (I was too hungry and tired)

I feel the guy next to me staring at me and he says something that I didn’t pay attention to it, i was too tired and Thought he wanted conversation, later on food is coming and i see is shrimp and i ask about it ( I had a l clear moment) , and it was my food
and the guy ( cry baby) goes like i asked her about it and she was so mean( dude i was tired) and without asking me or anything the bartender looked at me (so mean) like I stole his food !!!
The “owner” / bartenders she said ahe was the owner , were so mean
She said, you ate his food, I was like, You guys gave me the wrong food!!!

I probably wasn’t so nice,but their approach was bad, the waitress gave me his food , the way she looked at me right away didn’t get the best of me ??‍♀️

They charged me for both orders, I wouldn’t have minded, it wasn’t the money it was the horrible way they managed the situation, they treated me like I literally wasn’t gonna pay for anything and just went straight and stole the guys food, the girls treated me like I was a thief

Bad, bad reaction from them and that got the worse of me, and I believe it was their mistake

I probably wasn’t so nice,but their approach was bad, the waitress gave me his food , the way she looked at me right away didn’t get the best of me 🤷🏻‍♀️ If she is the manager/ owner as she said, them she needs classes in how to approach this things, as a manager you have to de escalate situations not the other way around, the made fun of me when I left and i have to come back to get my wallet and THEY DIDNT WANT TO GIVE ME THE WALLET BACK UNTIL I SAID I WAS GONNA CALL THE POLICE IF THEY DIDNT GAVE ME MY WALLET They charged me for both orders, I wouldn’t have minded, it wasn’t the money it was the horrible way they managed the situation, definitely not going back SERVING THE WRONG FOOD happens a lot in restaurants, treating the customer like a thief for that , horrible

The fried buffalo chicken sandwich I ordered was pretty bad. Small portion on a huge bun. The onion rings that were on it were dark and greasy. The chicken was also soaked with oil and very tough. Someone I was with tried to order a BLT but…”we’re out of bacon”…nuff said. It’s a shame because the place has a pretty nice outdoor area.

Great place to go and hang out with your friends and family. The food is subpar, I don't typically eat when I go here. The beer selection is great! They even custom drinks, my go-to is the ginger mint spritzer, it so good on a summer day. It's made with champagne since they do not serve hard alcohol. The service is a bit slow at times, and it can take a while to get a drink. However, the setting and atmosphere make up for all of their short comings. I love this place and go quiet a bit. Just don't go hungry or eager.

Just not good bbq. Chicken was dry. Pulled pork was OK. Ribs were flavorless. Best thing was the cornbread. Nice setting.

The food at this place is pretty bad. Clearly made well in advance of anyone ordering it and set under a hot lamp to dry out. The fries were sad and limp, the Mac in the Mac and cheese was almost like mush, even the rice was bad. Chicken, shrimp, beef, all bad. If you like beer I guess it's a nice place to hang outside on a nice day, but the food is just bad.

I want to love this place. I really do. I’ve been coming here for years but the truth is, the service is horrible.

Today, I brought someone who has never been here. Waitress took our drink order first. Took forever to come. She took our food order. 20 min later she returned to take our food order again because the computers “failed”. Meanwhile, people who were seated after us received their order before us. Ordered more drinks.

Asked a different waitress for a status update on our order. “It’s almost ready” she bings our sides (fries, cold). She said they were busy tonight - but we order before the dinner rush arrived. There’s no reason why our order should’ve been so delayed, or half of it being served cold. Never in my life have I been served sides before my main meal.

We asked if we could cancel the rest of our offer. She said no, it was almost ready but she could bring to go boxes. Defeats the purpose, we wanted to get dinner elsewhere at this point.

It’s a bummer because this place has a nice beer garden vibe but the experience is nearly always the same, unless you sit at the bar.

Wonderful little roadside joint. Definitely has some character. Had some fresh corn bread, very tasty with some home made honey butter, yum.

I drive by this spot at least 2 times a week and have lived in rohnert park/cotati my whole life and never thought to give this place a try.
Well I'm very happy that we did!
Our server was so nice, took care of us and the other tables very attentively!
Food was bomb!
Me and my boyfriend even tried to corn hole game, which I didn't realize was actually kind of hard because how hard can it be to throw a bag into a hole in some wood?? Apparently pretty difficult lol but was fun nonetheless ☺️
My only gripe which I won't knock any stars off was the flies, obviously they can't control that being an outside seating place, but even with the flies I'd still go back again and again ???
