Since other restaurants in the area haven’t been impressive lately, my husband and me tried The Tailgate. So good!! I feel bad writing this review late, but it’s been in the back of my mind since we went! The owner was so accommodating for us. We sat outside on the patio and she pulled the shades for us because it was hot and sunny ☀️ that day! Such a cute little restaurant on the inside with a wonderful small-town atmosphere, which is definitely representing Cottonwood amazingly. The sodas are served in frozen glass mason jars with ice (YUM) and it had me craving a root beer! The homemade fries are to die for and her burgers are absolutely delicious. 🤤 This is practically a landmark and she deserves all the recognition for her amazing food and service!

I traveled to Anderson for work and decided to stop for lunch. I googled food nearby and found this hidden gem. I met the owner and she was lovely. I had the tailgate burger. It was juicy, filling, and delicious. I'm so glad I stopped in. If I am ever in the vicinity again, I'm definitely heading straight to the TailGate!!

We love The Tailgate! Incredible burgers (try the Marty Pop), amazing prices, and friendliest owner ever. Even when she's in back cooking, she always makes a point to pop out and say hi.
First time there and it was absolutely delicious.. I am a super picky eater and the zucchini was to die for. Burger was cooked to perfection. Can't wait for steak night. Thank you, ladies. You did a fantastic job.
Food was mid, no where near as good as the burgers that used to be served here not very welcoming either that being said id give em a second try maybe everyone was having a bad day

Hand ground chuck patties, frozen Mason jars for your drinks, hand cut fresh French fries and GREAT service :) I had a bacon burger w/fries and it was delicious! I will definitely be back next time I'm in town for work. This is must try, very local hole in the wall.
