Been living in Covina for several years now and I’ve always pass this place up. Not sure why. I recently tried the chicken and waffles and it was delicious. The waffle had a crispy exterior with a soft bite. And the fried chicken was perfectly seasoned, fresh, and cooked to order. Great place to eat and the only soul food restaurant nearby. A must try if you have it.

This food dont got no flavor! The fish taste like batter the greens taste like glorys canned greens the mac and cheese is not soul food and the beans are bland. This is not soul ! It definitely aint no black soul in this food! Even if it is a cafe, ive been to better that sell fish! This is the worse. I would never come here after spending so much money thinking we finally found a place close and convenient

What a happy find! The chicken and waffles were delicious. The waffle was just the right amount of crispy and full of great flavor. Honestly this could be the best waffle I have ever had. Chicken wings are perfectly crunchy and absolutely full of flavor.
We also had the pulled pork breakfast burrito. Also wonderful! The eggs and hash browns cooked perfectly and that pulled pork flavor really shines.
Finished our meal with Peach Cobbler, as you should. A sweet ending to our happy find. Great staff and amazing food. Highly recommend!
This was our 1st time eating here but won't be our last 💜 The restaurant is small but very beautiful. It has 3 tables with 4 seats each. The food was cooked with love. Waffles we're fluffy & filling! The cat fish and chicken were seasoned to perfection 👌. Their pulled pork breakfast burrito was bomb with the hot sauce 💣. On top of all that, the manager was so nice & inviting! She took our order, brought it out to us & even came out to talk with us for a lil bit; Very hospitable. I would've left another tip before we left if I had the cash on me but we will be back soon! Go check this place out if you're ever in the area!
