Came to this gem tonight on accident. Other places closed before 9pm. Not Domestic. Walked in and already the vibe was sick. Group of softball guys, old school frat guys sitting in the room, life of the party. Classic American tunes in the background, great waiter and delicious drinks. Then the food comes out. Mind literally blown by the juicyness and taste of the smoke on the ribs and brisket. Mac and cheese with bacon using the best noodles. Demolished the 2 meat combo and side between two people and pleasantly full. Will come back a million times. Local gem, come here

The food is really good, but the service could use improvement with online orders.
You really need to update your online ordering or DoorDash. I really liked the food but the fact that your service when picking up, I got attitude from servers was annoying. I was literally the only person there picking up food so idk what the process is, and again today my order was cancelled. Y’all have no problem taking the money but giving it back is a whole process. I expected better but the food is really not worth all this extra bs.

Place looked nice, clean, fun bar vibe. Service is okay, nothing I'd recommend although they through in an optional kitchen charge tax even though no food was ordered on my end! Needless to say I had them remove any optional taxes.
Food , crappy bar food. Dry or drenched in sauce.

In violation of the California Consumer Legal Remedies Act which strictly prohibits hidden fees added to restaurant bills. Sneaking in a mandatory line for tipping kitchen staff, on top of 18%+ tip expected for waitresses is excessive. It’s also awkward asking for it to be taken off. If you truly mean optional, don’t force it onto customers and allow us to opt in, rather than having to ask the waitress to remove it and opt out. Hence, why the state made it against the law to pressure customers into paying such fees. Pay your kitchen staff a fair living wage when customers are paying more than fair prices for the food we eat. It’s not our responsibility to tip everyone in the building. If choosing to provide kitchen staff with tips, pool the tips and do so accordingly, do not sneak in hidden charges. Not cool and very disappointing.

Food is decent. Service is bad. Prices are $20+ for basically anything. Overall wouldn’t recommend.

Staff was inattentive, ordered a beer and it arrived after our food. About a 15 to 20 minutes. Asked for a box for left overs then waited another 10 to 15 minutes for our check. There was only one other table seated in the restaurant.

Just finished eating at this BBQ place with my wife and son 5 minutes ago. My wife and I have tried many so-called famous BBQ spots in California — including the one across from the Swallows Church — but compared to this one, they pale in comparison. This place is truly a hidden gem. The food was incredibly delicious, so tender and juicy, and the portions were generous. People who put this much heart into making BBQ deserve to be rewarded. I sincerely hope their business thrives forever.

Amazing meat and service! Emma was our server and she was very efficient and helpful! The brisket, pulled pork and St Louis ribs were delicious. But the stand out for me were the Brussels sprouts! Wow!!
🔥 DOMESTIC BBQ – Covina, CA
Tucked into downtown Covina, DOMESTIC serves up California-style BBQ with a creative twist. The brisket and St. Louis ribs are smoked low and slow, and the bacon mac & cheese is a must-try comfort side. I loved the cozy vibe, friendly staff, and dog-friendly patio—perfect for a laid-back meal. Pro tip: grab the tri-tip fries and save room for their bread pudding. Portions are generous, flavors are bold, and the house-made sauces seal the deal.

Food was good. They were out of Ribs, Brisket, and chicken. Service was OK. Our server seemed to have a attitude but got better later. They were kinda busy though maybe that was it. The old fashioned was good as well.
