Best vegan Ethiopian I’ve had. So flavorful and I’m not even vegetarian. Everything was so rich and delicious I thought for sure it had ghee in it, but nope, vegan! Meat options too I’d love to come back and try.

2024-10-16: I always get the veggie platter, but today was especially good. I can’t explain it but you just have to try it. Ever since this place has opened I’ve come to love their vegetables. I’m a meat eater by nature, but their veggies hit the right spot for me.

Great place. If you are thinking of trying Ethiopian food, do come here. We enjoy the raw meat ( beef ) dish- kitfo. You can have it cooked if you prefer it that way. Honey wine is excellent. Family/service is nice and attentive.

There must be some anti-depressant property in the food/spices here. I have been an infrequent customer since their first days and the food makes me joyful/elated. I would say Ethiopians are co-equal (though different) with Indians in knowing how to spice their foods in such a way that it makes it perfect. I cannot express my gratitude enough to the people who make the daily operations of this place possible.

You owe it to yourself to try this food. You only live once, why not satisfy your palate? Oh, and they also have the best mead (Ethiopian honey wine) I have ever tasted, made from scratch. What are you waiting for?

Really nice little family run restaurant with a pretty simple Ethiopian menu. We got the GS Special platter that came with everything— doro wat stewed chicken, beef, lentils, greens, etc and it was great! Loved the food and nice atmosphere.

This is without exaggeration the greatest restaurant I've ever been to. I am so blessed to have such great Ethiopian cuisine so close to my house in small town Covina. It out classes so many great restaurants I would have to drive 40 minutes or more for in LA. I have never had a subpar experience here whether it be in service or the food itself. If you like Ethiopian food check it out and if you have never tried Ethiopian food you absolutely must.

Vegetarian options: Almost the whole menu is Vegetarian and there is a very good Veggie plate deal.
