Great place! I came here for my birthday celebration and it was a great place to come and celebrate! Food drinks and overall vibe and atmosphere was a huge plus! I would come again! š
My husband and I came to eat here and loved the food and service! The music and the environment was very pleasant. We will definitely be coming here again. š
This was my second time here and I have to say I don't think I will be back. The food was just okay nothing really stood out. Service was abysmal, I felt like I was forgotten, everyone seated around me had chips and salsa and drinks. half way thru my meal I finally asked are chips and salsa extra? And I was told no they are complimentary "Oh, did you want some" I mean every other table was given chips as soon as they sat down. I had to ask and I finally got them when I had already finished my meal. Also I was never given water or offered water. I don't understand why I was left out.
Waiter gave up on us after paying and we were so thirsty for more water. The lomo Saltado was delicious.
Very nice and clean! Food was great but service was terrible. The waiter checked on us maybe once and kept disappearing
nothing special! no salt and pepper on table. I ordered the fajitas chicken dry, shrimp small very salty and carne tough! never saw server till bill came! highly disappointed!
I guess when we arrived there was an incident with a party that was already there that the police were even involved. This incident caused the whole restaurant and staff to be in a funk. It was no longer the fun and enjoyable restaurant that I had been to before. It was quiet and very somber. Even the waiter was like just nice but kinda of quiet. My friend has never been here and she was not impressed. The food was just meh. Maybe after that incident they should have just closed for the night and allowed staff to regroup so that they could deal with what had happened.
I have heard about this place from many people so we decided to try it. This seems more of a party and drinking establishment. Any place that has a person pushing a cart table to table selling shots and syringes filled with alcohol typically are not know for their cuisine. Food was cold and lacked flavor anything close to typical Mexican food. Service staff were very good.
The only thing good about this place was the helpfulness of the water. The hostess was Useless, the waiter could care less about his service, the food was cold and not good. So disappointed.
Went for my birthday and service was bad they charged us alcoholic drinks āvirginā when we asked for agua Fresca, then when we paid they took the receipt and didnāt give us all our money back. When asked she said it was more but we all looked at the receipt that is not right ā¦.

Quesabirra tacos were amazing and good sizes! 4.8/5. I highly recommend this place! The Jamaica drink was not my favorite.

Met up with a family member here during happy hour, and it was a great experience. The menu had a fantastic selection of happy hour specials and drinks. We started with cucumber margaritas and birria tacosāboth were excellent! The server was very attentive, even with multiple margarita orders. Overall, a great experience, and the place had a nice vibe for a Tuesday night.

Horrible service. Our party of 6 got seated by the hostess, and waited a long time for the waitress (Xiomara) to come by our table to take our drinks order, despite the fact that the restaurant was super slow and not busy whatsoever.
We ordered our drinks and food at once since we were waiting for so long for someone to come by. The food did come out pretty fast, I assume because the place was empty.. so that was good. The food itself was okay - not bad but not the best.
The bus boys picking up our empty plates came by every couple of minutes which was nice - however Xiomara, the waitress, dropped by only once after our food came to check if our food was good and never came back to check in. We needed to flag her down for refills and also had to ask one bus boys and the hostess to help us pay our bill once we were ready to go because Xiomara was no where to be found.
We paid our bill and left a generous tip in cash (though Xiomara didnāt deserve any), only to realize that they had added an 18% tip to our check already without being informed.
The auto tip is usually for parties of 8 people or more and we had only 4 adults and 2 kids.
We have had positive experiences at other locations but never going back to this Kalaveras location. Save your money and time and go somewhere else to eat.
