There aren't a lot of Hawaiian style bbq places anymore. But Laki has the charm of a classic one off diner with the same tastes of a trend that has been replaced by acai and poke bowls. Decent food. Good service even if the neighborhood is a little rough. It's good to have a place still making a decent bbq combo.
I decided to try this local place but I was disappointed.
We ordered and probably waited 20-25 minutes for our food. My coconut drink was amazing, but the food was very simple yet flavorful.
The owner had a relative there with some kids which it kind of threw you off as they were loud and they kept going in and out of the kitchen.

Ordered through grub hub.Delivery,fine.Paid $5 extra to upgrade 2 meat option to short ribs.Half the meat was not attached to a rib(loose and wtf?)and bottom of rib area of container padded w/lettuce/carrots.Sorry,not for me at $30.
