I love me some Pepe's! But this location isn't it. I prefer the one in Alhambra, the best location. But I've been here many times over the years. The last time at this location was over a year ago. But today, the restaurant is dirty, and the food is blah. I ate half, and I was so hungry after a long drive, so I was looking forward to my bean and cheese burrito with beef taquitos on the side with guacamole and their green salsa. But everything tasted off, everything...
Been going to Pepe's for upteen years. Today's experience made me realize how badd they've let it go as far as the inside. I went from table to table looking for a clean one. The feel of grudge on the tables leads me to believe they are wiping down but not cleaning much less disinfecting. Most of the seats are taped up. The stereo kept going in n out so they put it so loud it was uncomfortable to enjoy my Tacos. Basically inside and out are looking pretty gettho...
A little pricey especially when compared to Pepe's in San Gabriel. This one's prices are about 30percent more but food is very good. Good sized portions so that kind of made up for the price.
