The chicha morada was the perfect level of sweetness and tasted wonderfully fresh and homemade. The tallarín verde con pollo and lomo saltado were both clean, vibrant, and packed with flavor. You can truly taste the quality of the ingredients, especially the tenderness of the meat.
While waiting, Marlene treated us to their beef empanadas with green sauce. Wow! The dough was phenomenal, and the filling was juicy without being heavy. No wonder they require a 24-hour notice for orders! For dessert, the alfajores, made from a family recipe were perfectly textured and delicately sweet.
This is a family-owned and operated gem. Marlene runs the front, her husband is the chef, and their son prepares the desserts. You can truly taste the love in every dish. A hidden treasure in Covina.
