This was our first visit to The Bagelry. We wanted to try the bagels for breakfast. The bagels themselves are well made and have the right texture for a bagel in the morning. My wife had The Atlantic while I had an Everything bagel with cream cheese. I was perfectly happy with my bagel but my wife was not so happy with hers. Her issue was with the salmon. Me, I don't care for fish so I wouldn't know. She didn't say it was bad, just not as good as the other bagel place we visit regularly. I guess it is subjective. The coffee was fine. The interior looks like they are trying to use the dining area as storage. Visually it doesn't seem like anyone cares what it looks like to someone walking in the first time. This does affect how I perceive my food is prepared. In this world where competition is everywhere in the restaurant business, first impressions count. Although there was nothing really bad, I don't think we will be returning. There are other options that taste as good as they look when you are walking in. Hopefully this is an incentive to re-evaluate the dining area as the possibilities for a successful dining area are there. Not just focusing on take out.

The 2 young staff members did the best they could, with what they had.

This is a nice local place for the neighborhood they are located in.

It is not a place to drive ANY extended amount for.

The bagels are very average. They are edible, but are not nothing more.

I gave them a shot, spent $75 on 2 tubs of cream cheese, 1 dz bagels, and a lox sandwich.

Again, we did our part to give them a shot, but there are too many glaring areas that require lots of attention and work.

Their Atlantic had all the right components (smoked salmon, tomato, capers and sprouts).

The fair assessment of their bagels: Okay

Best bagels ?

Saw gnats and flies behind the glass counter where all the bagels were stashed. Around the corner in the kitchen I saw a few more bugs, I couldn’t tell if they were tiny roaches or flies, but at this point I didn’t even want anything. My friend still purchased a bagel, although it wasn’t worth a whopping $12. I’m going to be reporting this company to the BBB and OSHA.

Ordered a New York Omelet sandwich bagel which tasted good. Also brought a half dozen of bagels home. The owner said they freshly baked every bagel from 2am.

The bagel bread is good, however, the customer service could be improved. The food is microwaved ? (eggs, cheese, omelette) it doesn’t taste bad but I expected a more home made atmosphere

I guess The Bagelry opens whenever they decide to get out of bed despite have posted business hours of 6:30A - 3PM daily. The bagels are great if you are not in rush to get to work. Don't count on this establishment for last minute orders either. Their selection gets depleted fast with large orders.

I feel like the food isn't that visually appealing (ngl I thought it looked ugly when I opened the box lmao), but DAMN does it taste good ? I got the Atlantic on sourdough and the raspberry shortcake smoothie. I'm no food connoisseur so I don't really know how to describe the taste other than that it was savory in the most satisfying way, and the drink was really delicious as well.I recommend calling ahead to make sure your order is ready for pickup though, because the only downside to my experience was that I placed my order online (through Grubhub) and even though I got a text notification that my order was ready, when I got there they didn't have anything prepared and said they hadn't gotten my order. But then they double-checked and found that it was in their system, they just hadn't seen it... That was kinda upsetting, but on the bright side, they made my order on the spot pretty quickly, and the food was absolutely delicious, so I can't complain.I would go here more often if not for the fact that everything seems pretty pricey—$13 for a bagel sandwich, no matter how delicious it is, is kinda pushing it imo. Like $8-10 is reasonable, $13 is just overkill. Same for the drinks—it was great, but I can't in good conscience pay $8 for a smoothie on the regular. I also take satiety into account when I consider the price, because if I'm going to pay $8 for a smoothie, I might as well go to Juice N Bowls in West Covina (highly recommend, btw) and get a smoothie jam-packed with ingredients that will keep me full way longer for the same price. All the drinks here are probably good, but you get a fruity sugar rush and that's about it ? It's a shame because if the prices were a bit lower, I'd definitely become a regular. Also, there was no one inside when I arrived at 9:30 on a Friday morning, but the ambiance is very cozy/comfy, nice vibes ❤️
