I went to this place today, January 14, 2026. From the moment I walked in the door, I was met with a horrible smell, like burnt, rotten meat. I couldn't pinpoint the source of the extremely strong odor. I was going to leave without ordering, but I had to be at work in a few minutes and wouldn't have time to go anywhere else. Since I'm diabetic, I couldn't go to work without eating first. It's been over an hour since I ate, and I have a very unpleasant taste in my mouth that won't go away. In fact, I don't feel well at all. I hope it's not something harmful, because, without exaggeration, it smells awful. Also, the man in the kitchen wasn't wearing gloves.

Damn this waba grill location HORRIBLE!

I usually order waba grill from 1407 N Azusa Ave, Covina, CA 91722. But I was in the area and figured give these guys a try and was expecting same as my usual waba grill location.

And...oh boy was I wrong. As you can see in my picture comparisons of both stores. This store here is a total ripoff, as you can see my steak bowl was only half filled, It's like I didn't pay full price for a half filled steak bowl.

No wonder this store has so many one star reviews. I'll be asking for my full refund back and please save the automated message reply as well lol.

I'll be sticking with my regular waba grill location definitely not this one. If you have the money and you want to get ripped off well this is the store for you lol!

accidentally went into this location I normally go to the one on Azusa and arrow and the service is great, however I called in an order and didn’t realize it was at this location, so of course I went in since It was my mistake. As I’m eating my food I noticed it had a weird taste to it, then I bit into a piece of plastic. I continued to look at my food more in detail and noticed several pieces of burnt plastic, which I realized that explained the taste. I called spoke to a girl who claimed to be the manager she apologized said they can make my bowl again or refund me I asked for a refund since I don’t trust the food from this location anymore. She said to come back with my receipt and give my name so I can get my refund. Went back today (the next day from the incident) since I had to stop at stater brothers. The cashier said to wait because she had to contact the manager, I sat for 30 minutes (spent my entire lunch break waiting) yet nothing once I got up to ask when the other girl would be there since I did notice she was busy she had an attitude and said she was not notified about that incident and she didn’t know who that girl was and that she still had to contact a manager. This is very annoying and disappointing. At this point I don’t even care to get the refund but you guys need to contact your team to communicate with each other and to be more careful when handling food.

Yesterday I went in to get a value bowl and the girl behind the counter had her fingers in her mouth . I asked her if she had washed her hands and told her I saw her fingers in her mouth and she lied and said she did . I saw her the whole time . She did not wash her hands at all . I returned the food and got my money back . She also did not care how gross it was for her to do that.
