Crestline CafĂ© in Crestline, CA gave me an experience that felt warm, lively, and surprisingly memorable from the moment I walked inside. I didnât expect the atmosphere to feel as inviting as it did, but the combination of the cozy mountain setting and the friendly energy in the room made it easy to settle in right away. The food tasted genuinely good to me, the kind of comforting flavors that make you want to stay for a while instead of rushing through a meal. Since it was my first time visiting, I wasnât sure what I would think of it, but as I looked around and enjoyed my food, I realized how much there was to appreciate about the place.
One thing that really stood out was how many teenagers I saw there. They were hanging out, talking, laughing, and enjoying themselves in a way that made the café feel even more alive. It was clear that they felt comfortable being there, like it was a natural spot for them to relax and spend time with friends. Seeing that made me realize how much teenagers would love being at this location, especially because it gives them a place that feels welcoming, friendly, and easy to enjoy without any pressure.
As I spent more time inside, I noticed how the layout and atmosphere made it simple to enjoy the experience without feeling rushed. You can sit, eat, look around, and take in the environment at your own pace. That kind of comfort is something I really appreciate, especially when visiting a place for the first time. I never doubted that my time there was going to turn out the way I hoped it would, and that sense of ease made the visit even better.
I have only visited Crestline Café once before writing this review, but that one visit was enough for me to understand why people speak so positively about it. It is one of the most enjoyable and comfortable cafés I have been to in a long time, and I would highly recommend that teenagers go there. It gives them a place where they can enjoy good food, spend time with friends, and feel like they are part of a lively and welcoming environment. If you are looking for a spot in Crestline that feels warm, inviting, and full of good energy, Crestline Café is definitely worth checking out.

There is a woman there named Paige and she is incredible. I feel like her positive attitude, attentiveness, and just overall vibe really brings something special. Its hard to come by these days when your server, or just an employee in general, is able to set a positive tone for your experience and Paige really does. What an asset!

Crestline Cafe is definitely a hidden gem in the mountains! The food was absolutely delicious; but make sure you come hungry because the portions are huge. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience even better.
If I had to offer a little constructive feedback, Iâd say the decor could use some updating to match the great food and warm service, and the coffee could be a bit richer in flavor. Other than that, everything else was spot on! A great place to stop for a hearty, satisfying meal.

1-Star Review for Crestline Cafe (August 13, 2025 Visit) Title: Rude staff, violent threats, filthy environment, and unhinged behavior â NEVER again Weâve been loyal patrons of Crestline Cafe for over 15 years, even back when they were in Top Town. We always tipped generously, supported the business, and enjoyed the food â until August 13, 2025, when the entire experience became a disaster. We waited 30 minutes for pancakes. Asked three times. Got nothing but vague, evasive responses. Finally, we said weâd leave if food didnât come in 3 minutes. Magically, it showed up in 2. Not out of care â out of pressure. The waitress (who claimed to be the manager) slammed the plates on the table with attitude. No apology. No explanation. Just contempt. The same woman had raw, open-looking facial wounds â exposed sores or warts on her chin. Extremely concerning from a health perspective. No bandage, no covering â completely exposed. In any proper business, this would be a health code violation. Ordered 3 glasses of milk. Got 3. Billed for 6. Charged $6 per glass instead of $3. No correction offered. No accountability. Just blatant overcharging. When I calmly asked what was going on, she snapped, pointed at the kitchen, and said âDonât you see?â â referring to one lone person back there. I asked again if they were short-staffed, and she exploded, yelling that I was âalways rudeâ and launched into a meltdown. Totally inappropriate, hostile, and unstable behavior from someone allegedly in charge. I approached the cashier â a tall, skinny, young white guy with long blond hair and blue eyes â and asked to speak to a real manager. He told me: âYouâre bothering our customers. Youâre about to be thrown out through the window.â Thatâs a direct physical threat to a peaceful customer â made while I stood there with my wife and daughter. I told him Iâd call the police. He backed off immediately and turned his back on me. Beyond shameful. The plates were chipped. The glasses were dirty. The whole restaurant has deteriorated into a filthy, depressing dive. What used to be warm and clean now feels like a neglected mess with staff who donât care. This isnât the Crestline Cafe it used to be. Itâs now hostile, unhygienic, overpriced, and mismanaged. Between the unsanitary wounds, verbal abuse, double charges, and a physical threat by the cashier â this place is no longer safe or respectable. Never again. Crestline Cafe is dead to me.
We split the cranberry chicken sandwich. Had albondigas soup & vegetable beef. Food was delicious. Server was very attentive. Restaurant is clean & comfortable. Restroom was very clean.

The food here was out of this world. My girlfriend and I stopped into town for a little day trip and we were blown away. The portion size was unreal for the price. Def worth the short drive

Food is decent, although salads are not drained, water sits at bottom of plate every time... really don't go very often due to that
