AFURI Ramen + Dumpling

The Torigara shoyu seems like a new item in their offering. At $14 it is one of the best value ramen around. It was light, yet so flavorful. The thin noodles works really well with it, it was firm , tasted fresh and it has such a good satisfying flavor to it that only crazy ramen aficionados like me can appreciate . It will be one of my regular orders from now on.

One good change is they now offer extra noodles for $3. For the longest time they did not offer that option to my disappointment before . Thank you! :)

The kaarage rice bowl to me was decent. Most will find it good. I just did not find that particular uber crunchy texture I was looking for in a kaarage. I will skip it from my order next time.

Btw they do not close at 2:30pm anymore. I was rushing to chase the pm closing time. Thank god!

As for parking, Culver is usually pretty hellish for parking. Fortunately, there is a 1hr free parking at the Trader Joe’s bldg nearby. Perfect to squeeze in grocery run after lunch.

One more thing. I was not fan of their dumplings.

But you can’t go wrong with all their light yuzu ramen offerings!

Had the greatest time with my friends here. lainie was the sweetest waiter and was very attentive. I had the alabacore tuna don and it was delicious. However my favorite thing was the takoyaki.

I went to Afuri for dinner the other day and food and service was great! I really enjoyed the small bites that I had, especially their tori karaage, it was soo good!

I went last month and had an excellent experience. I was served by Harmony who was very friendly and attentive.

We ordered the yuzu shio ramen, hotate carpaccio, and the soft shell crab bun which were all delicious. I’ll definitely be coming back!

It was such a nice experience! The food was delicious and the place was really nice too, but what made our dinner here especially pleasant was the service, everyone was so kind and I appreciated it greatly ? I'll remember this place so fondly

I had the ramen and it was tasty but in terms of noodles and flavor, it's definitely different from usual LA ramen. I likely will order again as its flavor is unique and balanced. However, if you're looking for something thicker, sweeter and more traditional, I wouldn't.

The softshell crab appetizer was exquisite. Texture, flavor and juiciness made it one of THE BEST I've ever had. I cannot recommend this enough.

This is in Culver Steps area, which is a hopping area. Plenty of free (1 hr w/o validation) parking. It's literally next to the exit from the garage. This is easy to find and conveniently located next to shopping and other eateries.

The Yuzu Shio was very flavorful, hot and a great serving size. For appetizers we got the spicy karaage and will be getting them everytime! Not to mention, the staff is very nice! Shoutout to Destiny for being very helpful and friendly!

Quick bite to tide me over until dinner. Ordered Aburi Koro Chashu Don - braised pork with scallion and rice bowl. It took over 30 minutes to arrive and it tasted just okay. Too long a wait and mediocre food. Will not be back.

Food was amazing, servers especially a young girl was disrespectful almost rude - i sit there for a long time not even come to ask me if i want some water, and once start to order she never looked at me. That was a huge disappointment.
