I have lived in LA my whole life…my wife and I went on a search for the best breakfast burrito and after trying many in the city, this is the best!!!

If they are selling the sausage biscuit, get it. Maybe the best breakfast meal I’ve ever had.

Second time here, so here's the breakdown:*Avocado Tartine - 4.5/5 -good bread, but was a little soggy -need a better knife to cut *Breakfast burrito - 4.5/5-a little too panini pressed for me -solid texture mix and balance of all ingredients - I got the pork sausage. Drinks:*Latte - 5/5 *Chai - 2/5 -asked for whole milk...the whole drink was whole milk with a dash of cinnamon -also forgot to add my espresso shot Bonus: *Red Beards Jalapeño sauce is so clutch! Great add on to the burrito and avocado toast.

good neighborhood cafe with bright lighting. Shakshuka was good. It also comes with a salad. Friend loves their eggs here. For drinks, I got the Matcha Latte. The powder didn't dissolve so it was okay. would go for coffee next time.everybody was very friendly! like I said, it is a great neighborhood cafe in Culver City.

This place is NO CASH so I took my business elsewhere. The competition in the area was more than happy to "accommodate" my payment method.

This place is a hidden gem. Every time we're in LA, my wife and I try a different cafe trying to find the perfect breakfast. I think we may have found it.I got the burrito and my wife got the Sammy. Both were so amazing. Perfectly cooked eggs and fantastic coffee alongside them. They have a hot sauce available that's perfect with breakfast.I also got a dirty chai latte that was one of the best I've had. And an almond croissant that was toasted and stuffed with a delicious filling. Fantastic work guys!

OMG!!! the crispiest of potatoes guys! i'm a big potato girl and these are amazing. Food is always fresh, and made to order which I love. So many places you can just tell its being microwaved/reheated and its just not on point, but this place does it right!! Also staff is super friendly even when its busy. Love seeing a small business thrive in this area. Keep up the good work!

Unfortunately, I have to write a poor review of Breakaway Cafe. The service is always sub par. It's slow and not particularly friendly or on point. I've had to complain about my orders being wrong, taking a very long time to get or not what's on the menu listing. Today when I did, for some reason, the manager decided to come over and give me a piece of his mind for complaining "multiple times" (twice) as opposed to looking at as feedback he could use to improve their service. As someone who works in the neighborhood, I have limited options for my half an hour lunch. Sadly, when the bar is raised by excellent places like Pasta Sisters, Roberta's and Loqui, to find a place that is as pricey as they are but has poor service is disappointing. I don't like to complain (as you can see by my other positive reviews of local businesses), so writing this is a saddening. I hope they improve but I will never return to find out.

No exaggerating, easily one of the most delicious places to get breakfast or lunch in the area. The staff is very friendly and the food is extremely consistent.

Their mushroom breakfast burrito THICK AND HEARTY! I called in my order, got there and was unfortunately stuck behind a group of like 6 folks ordering everything including the kitchen sink. It felt like forever, they had one register and one person, no pick up line ( understandable, people probably don't order pick up as much) but the line got so long people were steady coming in but the lady at the counter never told the big group " hey go ahead and grab your seats AFTER you order". They were all their just taking space for no reason. That was the most frustrating part especially since I had to literally wait for an order that was already made. Probably should figure out a better system. Everybody was rolling their eyes for sure!! Burrito was good JAM PACKED with mushrooms, cheese, potatoes and eggs. Nice size portion but came with the tiniest amount of salsa that was barely half filled. Shame shame shame, $17 burrito and 5 cents worth of salsa.Metered parking right outside.

Drinks:Pumpkin Spice Latte, Hot (5/5) - The flavors were noticeable and it wasn't too sweet!Food:Shakshuka (4/5) - a typical shakshuka dish, more on the sour end.Breakfast Burrito (4.5/5) - I appreciate that they pressed the breakfast burrito at the end so it's a little crispy on the outside. Parking: there's a small designated parking lot next to the cafe for about 10 carsOverall: 4.5/5. The people were really friendly there and the place felt really alive on a Saturday morning (while not too crowded)
