We had to wait for a table, no reservations. The patio is very nice and the restaurant is very busy. We all really enjoyed our food. The pancakes are very large and delicious. They use very high quality ingredients. My Huevos Rancheros were very tasty.

The host of the place was very racist, she left us waiting for more than an hour and the waiting time was 30 minutes. Another host named Carlos called us to sit at a table when we were on the way , she had the nerve to seat another family that had just arrived at that same table, Carlos argued with her about it and while we were waiting in the middle of the tables, we felt very humiliated. She claimed that we had not told her that we were only 4 people instead of 5 since the 5th person got angry and decided to leave the place. Carlos finally apologized to us and decided to give us another table the place was very tight but he took care of us and she didn't have the courtesy to apologize or anything. I don’t know ir If we were wrong or if she was wrong but the thing here was that we were waiting for more than one hour and plus we felt humiliated !

Update: Went back today and got a super dry chicken quesadilla w almost no cheese for $25 incl. tax & tip. At least the servers were nice and attentive this time.
The turkey burger was tiny and tasted like meatloaf. The server never came to check on us. Overpriced and won't come back.

But after the waiters had asked us several times at intervals of 5 minutes whether we wanted to order something else, but we had said no, a waiter finally came to our table again - this time directly with a card reader - and forced us to pay.
Crucial fact: My son hadn't even eaten half of his food yet.
We had heard that money is the priority in LA, but I found that just rude.

Had a great experience at Cafe Vida, our Server Claudia was the best, had few requests on alternatives and she kindly provided those for us, they have everything you need for breakfast in the menu from eggs, salads, espresso and juices, they have organic salad ls and gluten free pancakes which is very nice.
