I really love the laid-back dining vibe. My partner picked the daily special, which was pretty filling. I ordered a seafood dish that I was really looking forward to, but the taste was just so-so.

Average. Heirloom tomatoes with buratta. The tomatoes were tasteless and. No heirloom. The ravioli was okay

A little gem tucked away on a side street in Culver City. Nice casual decor with a reasonably priced menu. Delicious pastas and a variety of mains and appetizers. Highly recommend

What a pleasant surprise. As a local CC dweller , I thought it was time to try some new places. The food was great. Authentic. Choice of wine, surreal. All in all, I will go back. It is a bit loud from the hard surfaces and conversations, but that is my only comment. If there is parking to the right of the restaurant, I could not figure how to get into it, so I parked at the Stairs. On street parking is non-existent. Great evening had.

Our party of 3 each had a different dish - lasagna, cioppino and pizza and each was excellent. Very nice service. Restaurant was very clean. I enthusiastically recommend Carasau.

A true Sardinian gem in Culver City, Carasau offers authentic dishes like fregola di mare and culurgiones in a warm, elegant setting. Exceptional food, thoughtful service, and great Sardinian wines make it one of L.A.'s standout Italian dining experiences. Also hands-down, the best service in LA.

Want to feel like you’re part of the ‘family’ in a mob movie while dining in a chic Italian restaurant with impeccable and attentive service? News worthy al dente pasta, with absolute creamy burrata, juicy bruschetta, succulent steak, and perfect shrimp? Look no further. Stumbled on this gem with my family while visiting LA after the Palisaded fires and found it to be an absolute treasure. Had the pleasure to meet Vincenzo - the daring proprietor and immediately felt at home. Truly special place with amazing food and atmosphere, on a date or an evening out with friends - you’ll appreciate your experience here. If not, it’s on me. I rarely write reviews but the attention and caring to craft made it a memorable experience, albeit entirely by accident. Will be back! Food, service, class, and ambience A++ from a discerning, bougie restaurant connoisseur.

What a gem this place is!! Authentic Italian with the kindest most hospitable staff. They greeted our group with such a warm welcome, including the 3 dogs we had with us. They brought the dogs each their own water, then asked if they could have a doggy meal, and brought them all a little bowl of food. I felt like we were going to be a nuisance rolling up with 3 dogs to diner, but we had been out all day with them, and they welcomed us and the dogs so warmly. The food, the service, the warm garden patio, were all so great. Highly recommend this place for a casual dinner, date night, or when you want to bring your dog with you. Thanks for such a nice time!

Enjoyed a lovely evening.. We went for an early dinner and sat inside, this enabled us to have a quiet dinner and enjoy conversation with guests. I recommend the Sicilian malloreddus pasta that contained pork sausage & saffron. There was a delicious taste of fennel. Others enjoyed the eggplant parmigiana (which was huge) and the cioppino. The setting is casual, the service was good and ...... there is parking right next door!

Simple, delicious, great wine, and friendly atmosphere. What else could you ask for? This place is a hidden gem in the heat of downtown Culver City.

it should go without saying that Italian cuisine is not monolithic. Not all pasta are the same and certainly the food will vary from region to region. Carasau is not just an Italian restaurant. It is a Sardinian restaurant.

I have been here a couple of times, mostly for their delicious gelato, but they also offer delicious and unique pasta.

The malloredus is quite good. Doesn't feel heavy for a pasta and yet filling. The flavor is good, although just a tad too salty. Could be the cheese but it does overpower any other flavor in the dish. Good thing it is still a tasty pasta dish.

Now, the seadas is quite different. I don't think I've seen this at any other Italian restaurants before. Seadas is a Sardinian specialty, a crispy, deep fried pastry stuffed with Pecorino cheese (love this cheese!) and drizzled with warm honey. It is very delectable and has a beautiful balance of that salty cheesiness and sweet, delicious honey. It's practically a must-have at Carasau if you've never had Sardinian cuisine before.

Of course, you also can't go wrong with their gelato, which is light, airy, and oh-so-sweet. My favorites are the pistachio, lemon, and strawberries.

Lastly, the restaurant itself is charming. It is a great place for a relaxing lunch or dinner
