I think they closed - I just drove by and there was another restaurant there on La Cienega. They closed the Jefferson branch a few years ago. I hope the one on Venice stays. This place is legend! The hummus alone is worth fighting 100 dragons for.

Gaby's is always a must for chicken kabob plates! the garlic sauce is amazing! I love the staff, super friendly! order ahead and just pick up to go since parking can be an issue during rush hour.

This is for Gaby's Express (Venice) The falafel is not very authentic in terms of its taste. It used to taste better in the past. The salad that goes with the falafel plate was far from a Mediterranean type salad, not even close. Twice now something was missing from my order/delivery which requires me to contact DoorDash for a refund of an item. The babaganoush was OK. The rice was OK. Only one tahini cup provided for a reasonably large order even though I asked specifically to add more tahini cups! Crossing off my list! I agree with Kenneth S!

Had this business been sold, because the food quality has gone down for some time. The chicken soup was very good and tasty but not anymore it's like some chicken and a few vegetables and tons of water with no taste at all. I just purchased a chicken dinner and asked for garlic sauce since there was none with the food and received a small cup with water and something white inside very afraid to eat it . What happened Gaby ?? Did you cut back on Quality & Service just to raise the price? Use to love and tell people about this place and the chicken soup but now I say stay away

Did a take out when I was in the city for the first time. The food did not have authentic Mediterranean taste. Not worth the price. Quantity was not bad.

Have been eating here for years. I haven't been back for a while until today. The food was horrible and tasted old. The chicken was dry and must have been microwaved. I will not be coming back again.

Went today a Saturday morning/Lunch. Ordered a combo kebob plate. Food come out on time. But my kebobs were very cold in the middle. HOW can you serve another man a cold kebob. Tasted like it wasn't fresh, either microwaved or frozen then warmed up. I was really disjointed and disappointed in the food today. I will never go back again. I can't believe I paid over $23 for that! Maybe other food on menu is better but stay away if you're coming for a kebob experience. My stomach has been acting up today since I ate the food as well. Maybe i just came on the wrong day I don't know how other reviews are so good.

It's disgusting the cashier didn't sanitize her hands or use gloves after using her phone in front of customers. The food presentation was terrible and completely fell apart.

Came here for the shawarma plate and they sell tacos as well. I can completely say I was very satisfied with the chicken Shawarma plate and the shrimp tacos 100% recommend this place close and the food is cooked thoroughly and didn't have to wait long for the food at all.

Try their new fish taco. It is tasty and fresh where the sauce does not overpower the flavor of the fish and slaw.

Their times says open until 10pm. I ordered online to pick up and I went after I was notified my food was ready. Arrived a little after 8pm and they were closed. Update ur hours idiots!

Wow what a price hike on these prices. Food is good. Support small business. Especially good ones like this one

I really like the place good food and easy service. I had a mediterranean salad with chicken and I really liked the salad. Very pleasant people that work there and it's close to the hospital so you don't have to eat hospital food.

It is not fancy or good looking restaurant but the food is great.

I've been eating at Gaby's for at least ten years. There have been occasional frustrations--price increases, inflexibility on substitutions, favorite items that are soldout early in the evening--but on my visit this week I hit the wall and won't be back. Prices have been seriously hiked, so basic plates are $15-$17.50. No more choice of sides, just rice and salad with everything. If you want some grape leaves, you'll have to side order for $7.50. Tabouleh is even more. I had decided to swallow this, at least for this visit, until I stepped up to order--and was confronted by a placard that noted the prices REFLECT A 4% CASH DISCOUNT. During a pandemic, when almost every restaurant encourages customers to pay by plastic! So in reality, despite the large price increases--the prices most people will end up paying are even higher! This is a remarkably abrasive move. I tipped the counterperson $5 for listening to my rant (it wasn't HER fault) and walked out. I will be patronizing other Middle Eastern places in the future.
