This restaurant was always a favorite of mine and my family's. The food was delicious and the service was great. Sadly it seems like it most likely won't be returning since the part of the strip mall it's in is still a hot mess since the fire. What a shame since they were a staple.

I'm patiently waiting for them to reopen again. This is the only Chinese food place that I have trouble picking a dish because of the vast options for vegetarians. Last time I visited I had to ask for the veggie menu, but worth it. I am obsessed with the texture of their veg orange chickn, it could fool some into thinking its the real thing. The kung pow, tho lacking the chicken texture is just so delicious I always struggle to try new dishes as I love these so much. They're always quick and affordable. I was upset to hear about the fire in the strip. I hope they're back soon as I haven't found another place with the same options.

I have been eating at Golden China or taking out from there for going on 20 years now. I am saddened by the circumstances which have the restaurant closed and I can't wait for them to reopen. I actually love their vegetable dishes, the spinach sautéed in garlic, the eggplant in black bean sauce as well as their yang chow fried rice and egg foo young. My thoughts are with Jack and his family as they endure being closed yet again. I hope to be first in line when they reopen.

For my first visit I ordered Vegetable Chow Mein and Sweet & Sour Chicken, both vegan of course. What a delight, the flavors of americanized Chinese food that I haven't experienced since gaining compassion.Very well done if I may say so.I will return again to try many more of their vegan offerings and will tell my friends!

My wife and I discovered this restaurant about 11 years ago, when we first moved to Culver City, and it's become our go-to for the finest Chinese food at decent prices and portions. We're very saddened about the news of the recent fire that happened to the building a few weeks ago (second in 3 years?!?) Relieved to see the restaurant itself is looking fine, and can't wait to be able to sit down in the comfort of its dining room again. To the owners, who have come to feel like family, please keep us posted!

Order from Golden China at least once a month. It's been extremely consistent but 1 time. Nevertheless, they are my go to Chinese takeout in the area! My order every time -walnut shrimp -orange chicken -sautéed green beans -chicken chow mein -steamed rice

My husband has ordered the pork fried rice since 1990 and it has not changed. It is the only Chinese restaurant he will eat it from. Every dish here is delicious.

Good quality, consistent service and great family accommodations for 6 or more. Best to. All ahead and pick up vs grub hub or other service... especially good garlic eggplant and sweet/sour fish.

I found this place in a strip mall after getting my nails done a couple stores down. It was lunch time so I decided to go with the lunch special and was happy with my choice. The food portion was great value for how much food they piled on and it tasted like what you would get at a sit down restaurant. The fried rice was nicely seasoned and not too salty and the sauce for my beef and vegetables was delicious. I'll definitely be back to pick up some more lunch specials in the future.

Golden China restaurant is a hidden gem in the Culver City area. Those who know about it frequented often, those who don't are missing out big time. They're open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., so it makes it a perfect spot for lunch dinner and everything in between. They not only have a full menu for those that eat pork chicken and beef, they also have a completely vegan menu you just have to ask for it if that's what you're looking for. We were shocked by how quickly the food was made, and how flavorful it was. For those of us that are health conscious it's a night it's nice to note that they do not use MSG in their food. It's a quintessential Los Angeles restaurant, brandishing graffiti on the glass, clean bathrooms, and old school elders cooking in the kitchen. It's also right across the street from a Ross and a Starbucks so you can get your coffee fixed and your shopping fix done right after lunch. Personally, my family and I chose items off the vegan menu and they were delectable. We started off with the Mongolian beef, Veggie Chow Mein, Vegan Orange Chicken, Fried Mushrooms and steamed Brown rice. We ate to our hearts content until there was nothing left but a remnant of sauce at the bottom of the plates. Definitely recommend for anyone itching for some authentic delicious Chinese food.Vegetarian options: They have a complete Chinese vegetarian menu you just have to ask for it.. secrets menu is the best one.
