Over hyped — chicken is average. Ignore the hipster reporters on YouTube raving about this place. Pro tip get the Groupon ahead of time for savings.

As for Fried Chicken goes, Honey Kettle is one of the better ones in Southern California. The simplicity of the goods is what makes this staple good. There isn't many frills, but good fresh chicken cooked with some care.
There have been some small issues with service from time to time, but overall I would maintain their high rating because of the delicious chicken they serve.
There are some hit and misses with their sides, but certainly do get their beans.
Portions are not big, but there is nothing wrong with over-ordering something that could be finished later.

Disappointment is an understatement.😞 order
8 piece family pack. (Togo) The thighs were split in half.
Half battered and the wings was full of chicken feathers.👎🤮 If I didn't have to drive back 18 miles in LA 😟traffic, I for sure, would have brought it back. And the price was $54. I wish I can attach. pictures. ( Labor Day holiday.)

Don’t ever ask for ranch or expect your dressing to arrive with your salad because “they are moving too fast” to include basic ingredients in your order.

The chicken is the claim to fame here and it smacks. The blueberry biscuit is where it’s at. Where the formers are the stand out, everything else is on par at best. I do like their lemonade too.
A bit of a wait especially if busy, but the product is made with love. Saw the owner in lunch meetings with his people, but he didn’t check in on the rest of us about how it taste or how I’m doing?
I came in from finding this video on YT, but his personality was tamer in person. He was eating so I don’t blame him for that. Highly recommend!
P.S it’s bit pricey, be prepared.

My food was just terrible. I feel like I had a bad experience. They also don't offer any specials, for large family's. I will never return. This place actually used to be really good, but has really goan down over the years. I am willing to pay more for the food to maintain it's quality, but not if the ingredients get cheaper and the food is no longer worth it.
