Quality of food was excellent- lamb, chicken & risotto as mains. All starters great too - oysters, endive salad & sliced amberjack.
Service could be improved but we were struck given how most good restaurants in LA are super crowded how this excellent place was but half full on a Wednesday night. Our party included those from Korea Town - 20 minutes & Santa Monica - 30 minutes at rush hour- 6:45 - not bad.

It was our first time trying Juliet and everything was really great!
The food, service and atmosphere!
Thank you Juliet!

Excellent food. Service was about what one would get at a diner. For $100 plus per person, it should not take 15 minutes to greet our table if 9, and even longer to come back and take our order. The food runners had no idea whom had ordered what, and randomly placed our meals on the table. The head waitress never came back to refresh our drinks, never asked us how our meal was. She did come back to sell us dessert. So disappointing. A table of 9 makes for a big tip, so why the indifferent service?

The reason this isn’t a 1 star review is because the hostess was very kind about my party arriving late. That is where the good service ends.

That said, a few things here:

1. Originally, I thought my sister-in-law was just being difficult, but my server could not have been more cold or unaccommodating to my table if he tried. At the price of the food, things like minor substitutions shouldn’t be an issue, or at the least they should charge us for substitutions. It shouldn’t disqualify a dish because I can’t eat the sides. Our waiter was being much nicer to other tables, so he decided to have a gripe with my family and I, which isn’t right.

2. My stepmom is allergic to onions, and the salads don’t list that they have onions at all. When we got the salad, it was filled with raw onions. I asked if the dish could be returned, and he said no. I said “if we knew there were raw onions in the dish, we wouldn’t have ordered it.” My server’s answer: “I don’t know what to tell you.” My stepmom and my Dad had to spend about 5-10 minutes picking onions out of the salad.

When I told him, nicely and graciously might I add, that onions are something that should be listed on a menu, since a fair amount of folks are allergic to onions. His response was a quick “yes sir,” and he bolted away. Mind you, the restaurant was not at all busy. He just didn’t care.

3. My sister-in-law asked to have the chives removed from her salad. When she asked, the server acknowledged that request and said “I’ll ask them to not add chives.” Her salad came covered in chives. The server’s response was “oh, I asked them not to include them.” At that point, we had been waiting 15 mins for a salad, she decided to just scrape off the chives. It wasn’t worth sending back. Plus, we had no faith they would take back the salad, because they wouldn’t take back the other salad that was full of onions.

4. The chicken I ordered was cold in the center at certain parts. At this point, I didn’t care to complain. I didn’t trust anything would remedied, and (though I know it sounds paranoid) I didn’t trust that this guy wouldn’t spit in my food at this point, because of his disdain for my table. I figure I’m just going to cut my losses.

I’m not really wanting to come back here. My sister-in-law and brother, who were semi-frequent customers, do not want to come back here.

My suggestion to the restaurant: be more accommodating at your price point, and train your wait staff to be warmer to their customers. Customer service matters at the price point of this restaurant.

My suggestion to potential customers: the service negates the quality of the food (which depends on the dish and I guess the server and chef that night) and the price is high. I would avoid this restaurant.

Very elegant restaurant. The wine list is unbelievable and the madeleines are out of this world! Their brunch is also great 😋

Had a beautiful dinner at Juliet yesterday! It’s such a charming space with a large patio and interior space. Service was excellent and they do a great job accommodating dietary restrictions. We tried the poisson cru, cauliflower, risotto, classic salad, and sea bream. All were fabulous, bursting with flavors and super well-balanced. We left the meal feeling full but not heavy and already talking about coming back soon!

This is some of the best food I’ve had in a very long time. The atmosphere is nice but understated. The service was lovely. I only suggest you don’t order wine by the glass. You literally get one sip. Cocktails were delicious. Will absolutely return.

This is our third dining experience at Juliet. first two were fine, causing us to come back a third evening with a new couple. This time a few items stood out to me indicating that the chef is trying to cut down on his food costs. First, the chicken liver mousse which was very small to begin with was now tricked up and the mousse that was there was 1/4 of an inch. Secondly the scallop were presented as four scallops lonely sitting on a plate with nothing else, not a vegetable, a garnish. The straw that broke this diner's back was the chocolate mousse dessert which was served in a child's TEA CUP. There was not enough in that cup to get one spoonful OK they charge high prices, but you don't want to feel like you have been ripped off after you pay the bill, and are not full.

Great food and drinks at Juliet. Enjoyed the cigars, and entrees, they all hit! Much better than their cross town competition Cou Cou or poo poo or whatever it’s called in Venice. Didn’t love sitting on the patio as it was kind of noisy with cars driving by so I would recommend sitting inside. Overall excellent experience!
