We moved to the area recently and are very happy to have found this FANTASTIC restaurant. We love it! We have been there 4 times now and it is consistently delicious. Each new dish we've tried has been perfect and their Tarte Tatin dessert is so good! The apples are perfectly caramelized, which is not an easy thing to accomplish. The fresh mint and fruit garnish was hand-picked to perfection! We look forward to a future dinner experience there!

Excellent sushi, odd patio, and great service! The sashimi was spectacular! The shochu cocktails were bright and fresh! We would definitely come back!

This is a horrible sushi place!! Girlfriend got food poisoning from fish. I should've known from walking into the place when it wasn't crowded at night on a weekend not to go here. They can make a good crab roll, but the toro was disgusting. The baked crab roll was the worst I've had, and the rest of it not very good. The appetizer free little bowl they give you in the beginning is disgusting, everyone should be fired there. This place does not belong in Culver City. We need a good restaurant. I would recomend spending your money at a better place or at least one that won’t make you sick!!

K-Zo Sushi is owned and operated by Kei and Yuki. Kei, formerly head chef of renowned Sushi Roku in Santa Monica, is classically trained in the Tokyo style. Kei is also a Cordon Bleu chef. Order the kaiseki (chef's choice) for an unforgettable experience of dishes traditional and unique. The sake and wine list are equally amazing. Kanpai Keizo-san and Yuki-chan!

I went there for a business dinner and the food was pretty good. I had been here once before many years ago and I feel the food has remained the same. The food quality was pretty good I can't say it is the best I have had. I had the Lobster roll, Dragon Roll and a few other things. Food taste I feel could be more flavor full in my opinion. The service was very good. The ambience I feel like it is getting bit old and needs some TLC. Three seems to be an Oder as you enter and things just are starting to look aged. This is my rating is like a 3.74 for Food3 for Ambience4.5 for Service

I don’t know what happened here but the cuts of fish were very bad this visit. Maybe I am uncultured but I almost threw up in my mouth eating the Toro because it was so stringy. Also most of the other sushi was torch cooked, which is suspicious in my opinion. It’s not like the food was bad bad, but for 500$ I expect better.

I live in the Bay Area, and there are only a few Japanese restaurants where I live that are on a level with this place. Don’t miss out while you’re in the west LA or Culver City area: this restaurant is truly exceptional. I ordered a variety of sushi and sashimi appetizers and they were all fabulously prepared, with impeccable care and fresh ingredients.

There's no shortage of sushi spots in LA. K-Zo, is a nice mid range sushi restaurant. The sushi is fresh and decently prepared. Not a wow factor but it is good, and also a little pricey. Still, I'd recommend.

I had an oyster with uni and fish eggs, maguro, hotate, and oysters. The fish (mostly shellfish) was of excellent quality. Unfortunately everything had way too much vinegar--not just the sushi rice, but everything. I still managed to enjoy it, but what a great meal it would have been without so much vinegar.

Probably the best sushi I've had in ages. From the sea bream to the salmon it was beyond exquisite. The front of house could use a little help (they were dragging chairs and tables across the floor for set up as we were eating) but I would definitely come back.

I had their duo boxes which is basically 70% of a full bento box where you choose between sashimi, a roll combo, or tempura instead of always getting tempura. It was very good. The quality of the fish is always in how smooth the texture is imo and it was very smooth and tasty. The rice they give in a rice bowl seemed like sushi rice with how sticky it was which was actually amazing.I had meant to try here for a while since I live in the area and thought it would be high quality and it was. Will definitely be back

Update: terrible customer service. Alas, lost my business tonight.Best neighborhood sushi in Culver City. Amazing quality for the price. Super fresh fish. Also lots of great classic Japanese side dishes like eggplant miso, burdock root salad, green bean with sesame sauce, and more.

We got seated at the very end almost at the parking lot entrance. The waitress was terrible, service horrible. Waitress brought one dinner first then 20 minutes later she brought my order!! It was the bus boy who asked if we wanted water etc., etc., OVER PRICED, MEDIOCRE FOOD, VERY SMALL PORTIONS, TERRIBLE SERVICE! That pretty much sums it up nicely. I will NOT return.

Good service. We ordered shrimp tempura, miso black cod, and around 12 pieces of sushi. tempura miso black cod are great. Sushi is a bit overpriced, fish on the sushi is fresh and good, but the sushi rice is a bit dry.
