Everything I've had from here has been extraordinary. My favorite was a croissant-muffin filled with raspberry creme. Magical. The textures are perfect without being greasy. The savory treats are excellent, too. Note: I had no luck trying to find the Palms location. Best to go to the Maisan Macha stand at the Mar Vista farmer's market on Sundays. Come early before your favorites sell out! Updated from previous review on 2025-08-30
This place is amazing and the service is incredible. I always go to the market in culver on Tuesdays. The cinnamon rolls make my whole week. Get yours while you can. Did I mention they are Vegan and you would never be able to tell.

Incredibly. Consistently brilliant. The owner Macha is a food genius. I my husband and I have had everything of hers. We have done custom orders for special o assigns and sometimes do farmers markets trips with solely “Macha pastries” in mind

Omg, these are hands-down my FAVORITE pastries and savory treats in LA! Some croissants in Paris don’t even compare: Macha’s have so many delicate layers, they’re in a league of their own.
As a French gourmet, I’m notoriously picky about what I eat, especially when it comes to baked goods. But every single thing I’ve tried from Macha has left me wanting more. She has an incredible palate — finding that perfect balance of sweetness, saltiness, and depth of flavor in everything she creates. Recently, she last launched her latte, and it is DI-VI-NE.
I also love ordering trays when I have friends over. The food is stunning to look at, the flavors win over every guest instantly, and not a single person complains about calories. The only downside is there are never any leftovers!
Beyond the food, it’s the heart behind it that makes this place special. Macha is the sweetest, most knowledgeable, and passionate owner. Every time I stop by, I end up chatting with her for at least 30 minutes. She’s as delightful as the pastries she makes! Next time you stop, ask her about the story behind the brand and you’ll understand her passion.
Macha, thank you for putting your (he)art and soul in what you do. You’ve turned food into an experience, and a healthy one at that!
Good luck for the opening of your very own place. I can’t wait to have access to your baked goods every day. 😋

She has got one of the best vegan pastries I have ever had! Ive tried a bunch from savory galettes to chocolate tarts to strawberry shortcake.. all the stuff if fresh, light and delicious! You can find her booth at the Mar vista farmers market or pick up in Culver / Manhattan Beach.

I love their savory pastries.
Found this micro bakery while searching for vegan cakes in cheviot hills. What a decadent chocolate cake! Our whole family loved it! We got the one with hazelnut cream. Soo good!
Vegetarian options: Menu is all vegetarian. Really good quality and delicious!

I tried the cheese, sun-dried tomato and arugula croissant is delicious! I ate it cold and it was refreshing and rich! My sister loves all their pastries and cheesy bread sticks too! We get to try their product at the Mar Vista farmers market, they are there every Sunday (:
