Pho Show | Culver City

I used to love this restaurant. Food has gone from good awhile ago to bad now. Noodles stuck together, minimum beef, soup tastes msg, sugarly and soy sauce. Price is quite high, $19 for a bowl of filet pho. Management changed? What happens?

For the area, it’s a decent Vietnamese style restaurant. Vegetarian Pho felt comfortable on a cool evening. Generous portions. ???? ? options

Tried to order through DoorDash just now, around 11am. Unfortunately the app wouldn't let me add extra noodles, so I called in, and a kind male employee told me he could note the request for extra noodles on my order once it was placed. When I called back to confirm that I had placed the order, an extremely rude female employee answered and told me it was impossible to order extra noodles that way and that the restaurant would not honor the request without charge. I explained that I had called back to pay for the extra noodles via credit card over the phone. She then told me that it's impossible due to the restaurant’s system and still refused to honor the other employee's statement that they would provide extra noodles. (Side note: why should there be no other option but to order another bowl for a whopping $25 just because I want some extra noodles?) She also told me she was going to download the DoorDash app to show me that I was wrong (about DoorDash not allowing add-ons for extra noodles), and then refused to give me her name when I asked for it and slammed and hung up on me. This type of service is completely unacceptable. It's the restaurant's responsibility to fix this situation they created, instead of blaming the customer. Had the female employee handled this better by honoring the first employee's representations, I would have definitely remembered such efforts and would come back in the future. However, due to the female employee's rude behavior, I will never order from here again. As others have commented, seems the service here has become subpar following a change in management.

We used to love this place but the restaurant has gone downhill. The prices for food are relatively expensive. They forget to include the requested item on the side and then call you a liar when you call to tell them that it was missing. Their takeout has been variable - with the pho varying in the level of spiciness and whether the noodles were cooked through. This place isn't worth the price anymore, especially for such subpar and rude service!

There are lots of non pho dishes on the menu (stir fried dishes, Thai noodle, curry, etc), so it is good that you have lots of options if you are not specifically looking for pho. We ordered the pho combo that comes with beef brisket, tendon, meatball and tripes. The soup is great, sweet and savory. The only downside to the dish and service is that when the waitress asked if I want all vegetables with my pho, I took for granted that they are normal veggie options that come with pho as complementary (like onion, bean sprouts, cilantro, etc). However what they didn’t tell you is they charge $4 extra for these vegetables which do not even complement the pho well (such as bok choy and broccoli), so it is a bit weird they asked if I want these extra veggies without telling me it comes with extra charge. Anyway, this is a small nit to pick and the overall experience was good.

Extreme drop off in quality. I have been coming here for like 8 years, it's inedible now. Old staff fired, recipes clearly cost-cut and tasteless. Will never return and hope new management fails.

A few points
The pho was warm and nice herbs..cardomon, anise,, cinnamon etc..however the depth of beef broth was not there. I give the pho broth a 7.
The second dish we ordered was the chicken pad thai.
The pad thai was better than the pho...I give it an 8 after adding lemon some chili oil and scrounged a few thai basil from the pho fresh herb plate.
Need to add tamarind for authentic flavor

PhoShow not authentic. Beef broth tastes like a mix. Gave us day old dried up jalapeños, bean sprouts and basil. Tried to charge us for two jasmine teas we were never brought. Served the most loosely wrapped summer rolls I’ve ever seen accompanied by the world’s runniest peanut sauce. To top the evening off as we were trying to finish our faux pho, one of the staff sprayed Fabuloso two tables down and it was so strong we could barely breathe, let alone eat. When I nicely mentioned this to the girl she looked at me like it was no big deal. Based on other reviews I had high hopes but apparently people don’t know what authentic pho or Vietnamese food is.

I am a regular delivery customer and usually get the same thing which is awesome and delicious every time. The chicken Pad Thai and the Chow Fun noodles.

They just keep me coming back!
