Absolutely blown away by Piccalilli! From the moment we walked in, the experience was seamless and welcoming (and has been for the past 3 times I have come in). The service by the GM, Adolfo, and the AGM, Diogo, was warm and attentive. They were genuinely passionate about the food they serve.
Now the food—WOW! Every dish was an explosion of flavors. The ingredients tasted fresh, the presentation was beautiful, and the flavor combinations were next-level. I highly recommend the brussels sprouts, Nam Prik chicken wings, green papaya salad, katsu!
They also offer Happy Hour, which has great deals and great drinks!
Piccalilli is officially a new favorite. Whether you're a local or just passing through, don’t sleep on this gem—it’s a masterclass in hospitality and culinary imagination.
This is a nice little spot for a drink and some interesting food. The drink list is extensive and interesting. The menu looked good, but we had dinner reservations elsewhere, so we only had the Brussels Sprouts. They were good, with a nice sticky balsamic sauce.
This is a nice restaurant with a fun and flavorful menu but I’ll admit it’s not my taste profile. It’s a me thing.
A lot of the food is a little too syrupy and heavy for me.
That said it is flavorful and their Hamachi carpaccio is excellent. Udon noodles were good but heavy on the sauce and sweetness profile; brussels sprouts were nice but also very syrupy.
Tbh there’s no other place to be. They have the best everything and always so kind and gives free dishes like what else could you ask for.
Went for happy hour on a Saturday (rare in culver for HHs to extend to weekends). The pork jowl was sooo good and flavourful. Had the HH spritz and the Mekong sour. Both were delicious. They also gave me a free order of Brussels sprouts which was sooo nice! And some rice for my remaining pork jowl broth. I would def recommend here, esp for happy hour :)
Really good fusion restaurant. It was delicious. Family style sharing restaurant. We got a lot of smaller dishes. The papaya salad was amazing! Recommend the brussel sprouts and wings also. We tried a few of the drinks. Some were hits. Some were misses, per our taste. I'd recommend 2-3 dishes per person at the table.
Atmosphere and service are good. But if you know an authentic Asian food, foods are honestly not great. Sweet Tteokbokki like a candy. Also tomato curry didn’t taste like a curry. It was way too sweet. Yellowtail is already so oily but somehow they added too much olive oil on it. Maybe try different fish for carpaccio? Papaya salad was almost like a soup - they put too much dressing on it. Hopefully they can learn more about cuisine and improve one day!
Happy Hour crawl is what we have been up to lately. Culver is a place rich in Happy Hour spots all within walking distance between restaurants.
Piccalilli was our day’s adventure. 5pm-6pm Monday to Thursday. 4pm to 6pm Friday to Sunday.
It is a hipster, fusion Asian spot that serves a modern take on familiar South East Asian cuisine.
Today I had the chicken wings, the pork jowl, rice and cocktail called Bangao Tea.
The pork jowl $10 - has that slight sweetness to it, there is a level of smokey caramelized flavor while the sauce is light soy and has a slight tartness savory flavor to it. It reminds me of the Filipino style bbq from the streets of Philippines.
The pork jowl dish will need a rich base to be appreciated.
The Nam Prik chicken wings is sweet and had a slight spiciness to it. Just a little spice not enough to make you tear up. The serving was quite generous for the price.
I had the Bangtao Tea cocktail. It has thar herby Thai Tea and coconut milk base mixed with a shot of vodka. It is good!
Service was excellent. Our server was quite attentive.
There was one 3% I noticed buried deep in my bill that says ‘Kitchen Love’. I could have easily overlooked the item and just sign away.
I am not a fan of these fees. Like most people we’re already at the point of tip fatigue in California. I wish this was more visible , obvious and communicated up front.
The happy hour trip - 2 dishes, rice a cocktail was a $50 affair.
Other than that overall experience was excellent.
Best place on earth Lydia is amazing (bartender)

10/10 across the board. Currently scooping every last drop out of the Tomato Curry bowl and loving every minute. My partner and I are vegan and eating like royalty. We’ve been lucky enough to be served by Yago - charismatic, attentive and a fabulous cocktail maker. This place is a delight. Anyone giving less than 5 stars wasn’t here lowkey.
Good lord get the Brussel sprouts!

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The dessert was good but didn’t really enjoy any of the entrees we got. Maybe we had bad luck but likely will not be returning.

We went to their happy hour a couple of times within the past few months. Pork jowls are a favorite of ours. The sauce is vinegar but not overpowering. The pork jowls are sliced thin and cooked perfectly so they are crispy and melt in your mouth. They have frozen slushy drinks with unique flavors. The one that day was being used in the free spiked lemonade day in downtown Culver. It had coconut, ginger, lemon, turmeric, cayenne flavors and the texture of the ice was very smooth. We always like to get the pickle butter with sourdough. The waiter told us the chef makes this every day fresh. It is my husband's favorite menu item. Servers were very friendly and helpful. They were very nice about getting us stamp cards for the lemonade day. The place can get busy, especially during happy hour/dinner time, but we've always been able to get in without reservations on weekday evenings.

I came here for the first time. Great ambiance. Very nice decor. They have inside and outside seating. Heat lamps for outside. We went for happy hour. Good selection of items. I ordered the crispy wings which were very good. I had them put the california reaper chilli sauce on the side because I wasn't sure how spicy it was going to be. I was slightly disappointed with the pork pieces mixed with ponzu sauce dish. The pork slices were on the thinner side almost like large thin pieces of bacon. I think if they were thicker cuts they would be much better and tastier. The slushy rum drink is strong so if you're looking for a quick buzz then this is the drink for you. I also ordered the Jade cucumber drink with kiwi and that one was delicious. Servers were super friendly and attentive. Overall I really liked this place. Next time I'll try the other dishes.
