Good food, a bit pricey, indoor is better than outdoor as the cover isn't lashed down so it makes a banging sound when taken with wind.

The guy that made our drinks is obviously not a bartender. He’s just filling in for when the real one shows up later. The food sat under the lamps for a long time and was cold. The Mac n cheese had separated and was grainey. It took forever to get our check so we could get out of there. It was a terrible experience. Also, the people at the next table returned their drink because it was so bad!! Ugh. Such a terrible experience.

FYI - I book most of my busisness meeting at Public School in Culver City , and sometimes other locations. Public School restaurant is a 100% perfect place to invite coleagues, talk about work, engage new business, discuss business and politics while having great food & drinks in a friendly atmosphere... Thank you, Tony M

I've come here a few times with friends and the food is always really good. Servers are friendly and accommodating, even when my friends and I ask for the overhead heat lamps to be shut off in winter.

The patio is usually where we sit to accommodate my dog, and the staff are always very accommodating to him as well (once they notice him sleeping there XD).

The steak salad I had was particularly good. Like unreasonably good. The steak was packed with flavor, succulent, and lightly but perfectly salted. The salad itself was a wonderful savory accompaniment to the steak, with crumbled cheese and onion crisps. I'm salivating just writing about it.

Id comment on the burger had there once, which was also amazing, juicy and flavorful, but I forgot which one it was! Not very helpful

We were seated at a person high top near the bar and our waiter was the bartender. Our appetizer wings arrived barely hot as the waiter/bartender was not attentive. We also ordered the spaghetti and meatballs to share. There was a strange taste almost like someone sprayed Lysol near the food. The bartender/waiter was more interested in washing glasses then checking on his four assigned parties. After waiting a while I got up and went to the bar to ask for the check at the same time the table next to me also went up to ask for more water. Overall an experience that would not bring me back or refer a friend. Sad, I was expecting much better.

Eaten here 5 or 6 times over years. Generally well prepared and an excellent tap list but the recent menu changes, including removal of the bison burger, are disappointing. I recently ordered the PBJ burger, which is unique and good for the first two bites, but then no more. I'll go here for happy hour now but no more.

Good atmosphere for family gatherings- especially if you have kids with you but are hoping to enjoy a drink or cocktail. Great service.

Rude waitress, Burger was mediocre at best. They up charged for a supplemental cheese. They did not honor the advertised 25% off Burger Monday deal. False advertising, skip this place.

Usually a good experience here. Unfortunately, Public School has paired down their menu and removed some good dishes. Overall it's still good, but not what it once was, even a few months ago.

Grabbed drinks and apps here with an old friend Saturday afternoon, we had a great time. I didn't try the food myself but my friend and his girl enjoyed the calamari and beet salad, both dishes looked quite tasty. I stuck with the cocktails which were pretty good, just not epic. The outdoor seating was lovely, seals the 4 star rating. Service was pretty good as well, no complaints. Definitely a nice place to kick it on a Saturday afternoon.

We love Public School. Have tried other locations but this one is our favorite. Service is attentive and fast and food is always delicious.
