I went there with a girlfriend and she's gluten free so she ordered the truffle risotto which was amazing and I ordered the lasagna which was a bit underwhelming, but still good. Wouldn't get the truffle fries again ($17), as it was an Italian restaurant and was hoping it would taste more truffle-y. We also ordered a glass of wine. I ordered the Malbec and she initially ordered a Pinot noir which the waitress highly suggested and then sent it back because it didn't taste like wine. Pricing was a bit high for what we got. The decor is was interesting and location was close to freeway entrance so it was a bit noisy. Overall it was enjoyable and I would consider going back again if not just for the truffle.

Real, fresh and delicious Italian food from the Modena region. No meatballs, no garlic bread and no pizza. This is a high end restaurant and the food is amazing. Service is always friendly and the restaurant space is unique and very interesting in it's own right, like a shrine to Italian cuisine and culture.

Pay for the tortellini with black truffle and they filled the space of the plate with another pasta (not tortellini) , and I paid 45 usd for that dish .... so a completely failure. Risotto was good but not extraordinary. Truffle Fries, meh .....

Such a cute restaurant, truly made me feel like I was in Italy! The truffle risotto is a MUST as well as the pumpkin ravioli. Our server was so knowledgeable and made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!

The hospitality is excellent, the food is superb, lovely ambiance, good for a romantic dinner or get together with friends. One of our favorite places to eat. SO charming and tasty!

We went for DineLA for our first Casa Modena experience. It was all around exquisite! The food was not only beautifully plated but tasted out of this world. They definitely do not skimp out on the truffles! Stand outs were definitely the burrata crostini, truffle pasta and lobster ravioli. So glad for things like DineLa because it brought us in and now we will definitely be back!

Everything was fantastic - from the food to the ambiance to the service. A really cute restaurant tucked away in a random strip mall but the food and experience speak for themselves!

Went for the dine la special, $59 for prix fixe 3 courses and desert. Showed up the first day of Dine LA for a 7pm reservation and immediately they inform us they are out of the meatballs, one of three apps choices. How in the world are they out of one of nine menu items early on the first night. First course: crostini with burrata and shaved black truffle. I was shocked to see the heaping amount of truffle shaved over the 6 crostini's (2 orders) they placed in from of me and my date. Once I tasted the extremely bland flavor and chalky texture of the truffles I understood. Simply poor quality. The dish was also severely under seasoned. Second course: spinach tagliatelle with meat sauce, and a lobster ravioli in saffron cream sauce. The tagliatelle was very overcooked, pasta was soft and soggy, not even close to al dente. The meat sauce was lackluster and tasted like salt and beef. The ravioli on the other hand was undercooked. The lobster inside had a fishy quality. It tasted frozen, and did not have the sweet savory flavor of fresh lobster. At this point complained to the waiter who then brought out the owner. I politely as I could expressed my dissatisfaction with the meal. He ensured me I was the only guest who had complained all night. Looking around the room, I was not surprised, it did not look like a crowd who could know and appreciate good Italian food. Took our third course to go, a New York steak dish and a pan grilled sea bass dish. Tried a bite each back home and they were equally unimpressive. Seemed like poor quality ingredients cooked lazily. All in all, If you are looking for Italian in the west side, this is not the place. Overpriced, poor quality, don't make the same mistake I did and spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

One of my friends recommended me this place and we had black truffle pasta, french fries and Filetto E Spinach. Those were so great and tasty! The service was great too. It was my first time visiting but I will definitely to go this place again.

Each time we eat at this place, we rave about the food. It is homemade Italian food that is truly special and delicious. The place is cute, homey, a perfect reflection of the owner and his mother who started it all. The only issue we have, and why we don't visit more often, is that the prices are high, especially for the amount of food served. The portions are small, you will not leave this restaurant stuffed; frankly I'm very ok with that part. But to pay $200 for four thin/healthy people, without alcohol, and leave not full, seems like a lot. So this is a special occasion place for us, because again, the food is outstanding.

My friends and I found this restaurant to be a real treasure. The white truffle risotto was sublime. Two of our party got the black truffle tasting menu and loved it. The other person in our party really enjoyed his pasta dish, but wished it was a bit larger. Such a lovely experience. Will be back.

Wonderful as always! This was our third visit to this Culver City gem. Food is perfectly rich; portions are spot on. Don't forget dessert...cannolis are exquisite. We love when the owner is there...he truly brings an added layer of service and warmth to one's dining experience.

This was our first visit to Casa Modena, but we'll probably give it another try. We appreciated the rustic ambiance, the moderate noise level and the pasta dishes. My pumpkin ravioli was a quite good, but the salads were nothing special, and the entree portions were small.

The entire restaurant is covered in gaudy dusty things such as pots, dead plants and figurines. Pretty weird. Service was slow and haphazard and the food was fair. Can't recommend this place.

Nice surprise. Tasty and authentic. Only problem is very little parking. Had to find a place on a very busy street. Just come early because even the parking on the street is limited.
