New doughnut spot!
Everything is handmade from scratch, every hour, in small batches.
The staff are super friendly, helpful, and informative (you can tell they love what they do!)

Doughnuts are so good. Not your everyday fried dough. First one I swallowed LOL was the jalapeño doughnut. OMG. Corn/jalapeño bits inside and was surprisingly good. I will be back when in town again.

I love Sidecar donuts but this location was by far the best! They had seating outside and the service was wonderful! I got the basil eggs Benedict donut and wow was that a culinary experience, it's pricey but worth it! I also got the banana nut latte with oat milk, it was yummy, I would just opt out of the walnut topping next time!

I’ve been to the og location in Costa Mesa OC several times and many moons ago - and since they’ve expanded, the quality and taste in other locations isn’t just the same and justify the cost per donut imo. If you MUST try Sidecar for the first time - I heavily recommended you visit their Costa Mesa location. Butter + Salt is a classic, tasteful donut of theirs, but it just wasn’t the same here.
Gal who helped us out at the counter was very courteous and personable though :)
Moderate space, clean, and ample parking.

Been coming here since it opened, always a great experience! Their Monte Cristo collab with Uncle Paulie's was the best donut I've ever had. Atmosphere is fun, and the staff are all friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

We got a dozen (plus a free one) donuts last weekend for a friends birthday. We arrived around 5:30pm and was surprised to find that they still had a pretty good selection left. Sadly no Huckleberry which we've heard is outstanding. But we did enjoy a bunch of flavors that I would recommend like Butter & Salt, Sugarfina Bullseye, Susie's Blueberry Pancake, Meyer Lemon, Celebration Cake (my fav), Saigon Cinnamon Crumb and Strawberry Buttermilk. The only flavor that I was not in love with was the Choc-a-lot but honestly I'm usually underwhelmed by chocolate cake donuts so it wasn't bad just not as chocolatey as I had wished.
I had one of the chocolate chunk donut, it was delicious! What I like about the donut is that the dough was very cake like. I thought that was unique. The cashier and people there were very nice, service was on point. It’s not too crowded in the afternoon so seating wasn’t hard to find, but there are a few seats given that it’s a small space. Their small parking lot can be a problem since there’s only a few space available. Your best bet is to park in the larger parking area next to the shopping areas. They have so many donut options, I wanna go back there and try their other ones!

We went in today and waited over 10 minutes without any of the three employees saying a word to us zero manners zero greetings zero attention a line formed they could care less so we left will never come back or support this place. We used to love it. Bad service equals no customers It’s overpriced and then you’re not even gonna give good service no thanks

Is Sidecar Donuts a bakery, or a psychological experiment in disappointment?
I went twice this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, and the selection was the same both days: a few lonely, tired old fashioneds sitting there like forgotten relics. No gluten-free. No huckleberry. No hope.
I’m starting to think they recognize me. And that they hate me. It could be the fact my sweater is covered in donut stains. Perhaps they thinking I’m cheating on them with other donut shops. But daddy needs his maple bacons, and if Culver City Side Car can’t deliver I’ll have to go to Randy’s. I swear I’ll do it. I swear!
At this point, I’m not even sure if the huckleberry donuts are real or just a beautiful legend passed down from Mark Twain himself.
Would I come back? Of course. Because hope is the cruelest drug. And I am an addict. I’m addicted to those donuts and I’m even more addicted to disappointment.
P.S. the old fashion was pretty good. 2 Stars.

TRIPLE BOMB 💣 💣💣 Second time here since discovering this place a month ago. So far huckleberry is my all time favorite. I did try their strawberry cream today and was a tiny bit disappointed. Not on them but expectation I had. I thought the strawberry glaze would be similar flavor to the Asian snacks strawberry flavor (pockey, ying yang). Overall RECOMMEND 🤤
