We chose to come here after reading the reviews and were unfortunately disappointed.The staff was friendly, but the food came out very slowly. While we would give the nigiri a solid recommendation, the rolls were a huge bummer (the spicy rolls were far too overpowered with spices, and were incredibly small) the tempura roll coming out soggy, and a crisp-less gyoza.For 50$ a person, we would have expected a lot better :(
Cute spot. Sweet staff with warm greetings. Rolls were perfect. The cucumber salad is my new favorite dish, very simple. We will be back. The place is small. That isn’t a bad thing but you might have to wait if your party is larger than two people.
Very happy to find this little hole in the wall. Excellent food, very quick and professional service, and extremely competitive quality sushi and other dishes. Very clean and an aesthetic that reminds me of a Los Angeles that doesn't exist anymore. I know one other sushi restaurant in LA that I would recommend, and I would not say it is better, but that they are equals - Kazunori. However, Sushi Mashiko is much more welcoming. This is the best sushi restaurant in Culver City...
