I really liked this place, and am sad I didn't take more advantage of it being so close to my apartment while it was open. Was hoping it would re-open post quarantine but have heard it will remain closed (or maybe become something else?) by the other nearby businesses. Hopeful they are misinformed but its not looking too promising

Excellent food, fun vibe. Have been here twice now (pre-Covid) and would highly recommend it.

Fantastic and fresh food, I loved the atmosphere the spot has, and the workers were kind. Will definitely come back in the future.

Definitely a cute spot for date night or a night out with friends. The atmosphere is very lovely and chill. Wasn't overly crowded or noisy. Their service was great. All staff members were friendly and helpful. They have a pretty nice food and drink selection. I came here with 3 of my friends and we shared 5 dishes family style and it was plenty food. We had the following:1) Tuna poke - AMAZING definitely would recommend. Flavor was great.2) Burrata - Delicious, would ask for a couple more slices of bread if you are sharing.3) Grilled Cauliflower - A little disappointed with this one. You have to cut the a whole head of cauliflower for yourself, which made it a little difficult to serve. Also, felt as if it was a little burnt.4) Ora King Salmon - If you like salmon, this is definitely the way to go. It was cooked to perfection and I really enjoyed the sweet carrot puree they serve with it.5) Tagliatelle ala Shortrib - So delicious! I could of eaten this whole thing by myself. The flavor was amazing and the short rib was so tender.Overall, definitely a good spot for a night out.

The Wallace is a great spot in Culver City for some delicious California cuisine. It's got great ambiance, good service, and a fantastic selection for food + drink. It's a great place to go to with friends/peers or take parents from out of town. They have a great space and the restaurant can accommodate a large group. There are indoor & outdoor choices in seating and a large bar. Just be warned that when the restaurant is busy, you may experience some hiccups or slower service. I've never experienced bad service but it has been slow when they're busy.

Oh my gosh, The Wallace is AMAZING!!! Came here with a friend a little bit before shelter in place happened and we had the best time!!! I'm a s***** for small plates and even though The Wallace was quite pricey, it was so worth it. We shared the: -Roasted Eggplant Hummus: Yum! Nothing like fresh hummus with a warm, freshly baked flatbread with great flavors to get the meal started -Mushroom Toast: I love mushrooms and this was excellent! So many delicious mushrooms, featured on a nicely toasted slice of bread -Tuna Poke: Yes please!! The poke was delicious! Nice chunks of fish and the chips were good too -Candy & Golden Beets: The beets were good and the yogurt sauce was a nice touch. I felt like the beets could've been just a tiny bit riper, but they were still delicious. -Grilled Cauliflower: I really like grilled cauliflower and gobbled this up, though the sauce was a bit much for me and I didn't feel like the dish as a whole was that special. Funnily enough, my friend didn't like the cauliflower but loved the sauce, so we still cleared the plate. -Peanut Butter Cheesecake: Decadent, delicious cheesecake! The crust was amazing and the peanut butter flavor was great! I'm not as into chocolate cake though so the more chocolate fudge like parts were a bit too much for me. It was a generous slice of cake and my friend and I were unfortunately too full to finish! It was a bit hard to get the attention of our server, but she was friendly and helpful! The food was brought out at a good pace and it was nice that we could chat for hours without being rushed out (luckily for us, we came on the later end Monday night so the restaurant was super full when we got there, but there wasn't another wave of people entering when we were leaving). Can't wait to come back!!!

Found this little gem in the heart of Culver City. Both the cocktail menu and the food menu is well thought out. There are dishes that appeal to all flavors, tastebuds, and cravings! Basic B**** was one of the best cocktails I've had in a really long time. Scallops were perfectly cooked and every appetizer we had was delicious. MUST HAVE: fried yucca root.

I feel bad to write a review specially during such tough challenging time but this happened before the Corona closures. I called in advance to make sure they are open straight through from lunch to dinner and dinner menu is avaiable and I was told yes. I was planning a lunch with my cousin which I haven't seen forever and we were planning to spend a nice time together. I have been in Wallace before for dinner. On, Thursday, March 12th what other place better than the resturant I had a great dinner in the past. I was totally wrong. We came in around 1:15 and were told that dinner menu wasnt avaibale and only limited lunch menu. They were planning to close at 1:45, earlier than usual because of rain. Why you sat the guest 30 minutes before closing? Why you allowed the guest to order and 10 minutes before closing you remembered that you never mentioned it to the guest. When I told the waiter that I called, he acted surprised like I was lying and he stated that if we want our food to go. Really, no apology. Nothing. This is not the way to treat a guest, specially one like who has done her homework in advance. The waiter like ok, so what. Take it or cancel it. I would never return to this resturant. I am sure you act like nothing and one less customer doesn't matter, but it does. This is not the way to treat customer.

I go through my phases where I stop by this place a few times a month. The menu changes from season to season. There's always excellent pasta, seafood and meat dishes. I had the duck breast tonight and it was the best duck I've had since I was in Beijing. The skin and sauce were impeccable and with the radish it reminded me of deconstructed mooshu duck. We started with short rib tacos which were on the happy hour menu and are easily devour-able. We were lucky enough to get a dish sent to our table, a hamachi/beet dish with spicy ponzu sauce. Awesome service on a Sunday night. They also have a great drink called a Basic B*****

Fun spot! Be aware though that happy hour prices only apply around the bar area. Weird, but great HH menu anyway. If around Culver, this would be a great spot to have a drink before or after dinner.

Yay! I'm a fan. Ate at this restaurant last night before a show that we had a the Culver Hotel that is located right across the street. The place was jammed packed on a Thursday night around 7pm but we were lucky and were able to score a table for 2 on the front patio. The tables are very small and very close to each other. My first reaction was, oh no!, we won't be able to talk about sour subjects since everyone can hear but it's ok, after a bottle of wine, we didnt care anymore. It looked like the perfect place for a date, lots of couples. I LOVE tapas place so I was very excited to try it out. We tried the egg plant hummus, it was defnitely a small portion but the flat bread are huge and had PLENTY of herbs, it was too much for me but my friend likes it. I like the way it was presented, I am talking about the flat bread, it was rolled up like a roller coaster. Then we tried the Smoked trout and it was good but so much bread, I understand why though because they put a lot of trout on it so in order to hold, then you have to use a thick slice of bread. Then we finished with fried Yuka, which reminded me of patatas bravas in Spain. It was tasty. They didnt have the Rosé that we chose but they have a more expensive :( option which we took. I would go back to try more food, we just there to snack on couple tapas plates.
