Good spot for a quick bite when craving a handroll. Friendly service, sat at the bar and shared the 6 roll set.

LOVE this place! Been over a dozen times at this point, it’s our favorite place in Citizens Market. Always fresh & delicious. The rotating specials are always standouts but the regular hand roll sets are really good on their own too (favorite roll is the kampachi). Also, for people complaining about built-in 16% tip, that’s pretty standard around here (not to mention, also mandatory at kazu nori). Friendly, quick service makes it more than worth it.

Overpriced, mid fish, and they added they’re own tip. Rol hand bar is better.

I love this place! I go almost every week, everyone is so friendly, the food is amazing and it comes out so quickly it’s perfect when you’re starving and need to eat quickly but also great for a chill vibe and good time with friends! They have yummy sake and the miso is great too. The fatty tuna is to die for.

Arthur, Franco, Eric, and Seqouia. What a team and super accomadating. I got the 4 piece set. They were kind enough to swap out the prawn for me. An incredible selection drinks we got sake and a sparkling yuzu drink. They made sure we were welcome and comfortable. I don't drive down to culver city often but i will definitely be back!

This sushi roll bar is the bomb. The rolls are legit, and the quality is off the charts. You can tell that the chefs here take pride in their work. The atmosphere is chill and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy your meal. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they're always happy to make recommendations. If you're looking for a great sushi experience, look no further. This place is the real deal. #SushiLover #FoodHeaven

Took a chance since many reviews were about the fixed hand roll sets and service, but oh man this place was disappointing. We had to wait for our ginger and wasabi trays after the first hand roll was already served. Sushi rice was cold, and the nori was tough. Wouldn’t say I could tell a difference between their dry aged fish vs decent store bought fish, made worse because of my issues with the rice and seaweed

Their handroll is excellent. However, it is VERY overpriced considering that the overall experience is awful. They don’t give you any plates (they bring you the handroll using their hands and give it straight to your hands with no support). They asked me to pay WHILE I was still eating (and since I had no plate, I had to manage the payment and my handroll like a circus lady) and in the check there were not clarified extra taxes.Wouldn’t recommend.

Stick with Kazu Nori. Fish quality is ok, but it’s cut too thick, portioned small, and not evenly mixed in the roll. Rice is cold. Miso soup is saltwater with no seaweed or tofu or anything in it. They dont offer tap water or hot water. The guy making my rolls was literally dragging his hand along the wall while pacing around the place, touching the register, and other surfaces with the same gloves in between making my rolls. Not clean. Counter stools are cheap and uncomfortable. Service is mediocre. They offered half off price of 6 rolls on Sunday night (extra medium) but charged gratuity on the full price. I paid it, wasnt a huge amount, but out of principle didnt like it, especially since service wasn't so good. I love sushi and handrolls and have enjoyed many, many places. This place is a wannabe that missed the mark in every category. I’d avoid it altogether.

Having tried both the Take out as well as Sit down menu, my best advice is this: sit down and get hand rolls! The take out is essentially fish and rice and sushi, so you can wrap it yourself, but you miss out on all the interesting toppings they add when eating there in person! They put roe, shiso leaf, rice cracker, which elevates the handrolls beyond the norm. Definitely go during Sunday dinner when they have happy hour (HH) before they take it away! Half off the $33 Extra Medium menu...totally worth! If you have the Amex Platinum card, get the Inkind membership ($100 credit thru platinum) and collect your discounts here.

Went here for the half off Extra Medium hand roll set($32 originally) on Sunday from 6-9pm. When we started to pay there was a 16% service fee that look very suspicious, and if you know how to math 16% of $16 is not $5.12. I brought it up to the server since the math was not mathing, and he said 16% of $16 is $5.12 and I was in awe. I just wanted an explanation. But ya the story is don’t go, not worth. The hand rolls was ok, my favorite was the fatty tuna and that’s it. I would probably never come back. Just go to Yunomi behind Erewhon, get the spicy version, so much better.
